We were extremely disappointed, when we arrived opened the door to a smell of damp, the WiFi did not connect at all, when running a bath there was only around 3inches worth of hot water before it went cold.. I also noticed that the blinds had mould on them due to the exceptional weather we made the most of it. But by Tuesday we could not stay any longer our clothes were starting to smell damp so we came home. Originally I called Sykes to say we were leaving due to personal reasons, which in hindsight I wish I had advised the real reason. Which I did on the Wednesday. They raised a case and advised that they were going to contact the cottage owner and feed back. To date I have not received a response. Personally I am extremely disappointed as this is our only holiday this year as my husband has a long term illness. As a customer that has used Sykes previously I feel extremely let down! Surely Sykes can arrange some form of compensation as we had to cut our holiday short due to no fault of ours. Regards Mr and Mrs Dance

Nice welcoming gestures of fresh flowers and eggs, bread, home made marmalade, milk and butter.. Even a nice warm blanket for our Dog to keep her cozy and comfortable. All very thoughtful and much appreciated. The cottage was welcoming and comfortable situated in a nice quiet village. Surrounding countryside beautiful. A good base to explore the surrounding areas. The owner of the cottage came to say hallo and see we had all the things we needed.

It is a good centre for touring the N.. Cotswolds but the village has no shop or pubs so you have to drive. There are two pubs in Ilmington and a village shop. The cottage is small and compact on one level with a very comfy bed. The kitchen area although it has a fridge, a cooker, Microwave and washer there is a distinct lack of cupboard storage and nowhere for cereals and bottles. The owner who is charming and helpful left us bread, milk, local butter and home made marmalade a truly welcome pack on arrival. As we had plenty of warmth from the storage heaters we did not use the wood burning stove. The patio is somewhat small!

Really enjoyed our stay at this cottage.. A lovely welcome gift of bread eggs butter milk and marmalade. Everything we needed was there in the cottage. My husband enjoyed the log burner so much that now we are at home we are planning on buying one for ourselves. The Cotswolds is definitely a place to visit and we will probably return next year as we enjoyed it so much. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

A lovely small cottage, well presented and equipped.. The courtyard garden is very small, perhaps too small for our medium sized dog. Otherwise an ideal place for a quiet holiday for a couple.

A DVD player would be a good addition.. Also a snag book, as the owners won't always know when light bulbs etc are not working.
