Delimara is a charming, detached cottage set in a quiet cul-de-sac in Easton on the Isle of Portland near Weymouth. With one ground floor king-size double, plus one twin and one single set in the eaves, this cottage can sleep five people. Delimara also offers a kitchen, a sitting room with a gas fire and dining area plus a separate sunny garden room. Outside is off road parking for 3 cars plus an enclosed, lawned garden with patio and furniture. Delimara offers friends and families a quiet coastal base from which to discover the stunning seascapes, coastal paths and exciting sports of this wonderful region. Note: There are sloping ceilings and limited headroom in the twin and single bedrooms.

Situated on Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage Site, the bustling village of Easton can be found at the top of the rugged Isle of Portland Peninsula, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebbled shoreline, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay.

The Bungalow was great for position, and in a nice quiet area with a lovely garden.. But inside was very tired. Dining chairs and settee need replacing. They have seen better days. It definitely needs a new Shower head, the one in there has gone brown so didn't bother having a shower. Carpets downstairs were grubby. Upstairs was lovely. Overall it could do with a good clean downstairs. Shame really because it could look really nice. Would not use it again.

Our stay at Delimara was really lovely.. The bungalow is delightfully situated with a sunny aspect. It is fully equipped for your stay, whether you eat out daily, or choose to prepare your own food, there really is all you need. The home was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Milk, tea, biscuits and fresh marmalade had been kindly provided as a welcome for us. The beds and bedding were fresh and beds comfy for us. The bathroom is perfect with good, easy access, with all towels provided. The large sofa and chairs were great to relax in on an evening, as was the sun lounge to the rear of the property and the good size tv a bonus. WiFi reception is excellent. The utility area in the attached garage was perfect, with the added benefit of an extra toilet and wash basin also. it was a perfect base to stay, both to explore the island and its remarkable history - visit the museum if you can. Or choose to leave the island on some days, as we did to ramble around the many picturesque villages and natural history points that exist east and west along the adjacent coast line and countryside. We would definitely recommend this property, both for families and elderly.

Having used Sykes several times before, we are very aware of the high standards they set themselves and so we in turn have high expectations of the properties we book.. We have never been disappointed. We have stayed at Delimara before so knew what to expect. Again, we were not disappointed. A VERY ATTRACTIVE PROPERTY ON THIS VERY INTERESTING ISLAND.. THE FACILITIES IN THE PROPERTY NET ALL OF OUR EXPECTATIONS AND WE DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY SHORTCOMINGS. WE FELT VERY WELCOME WITH TREATS FROM THE OWNERS WHICH WAS A NICE TOUCH. SHOPS, SUPERMARKET, PUBS AND TAKEAWAYS NEARBY AND A GREAT BUS SERVICE TO WEYMOUTH AS WELL. An ideal place to stay if exploring the Isle of Portland set in a very quiet location only a very short stroll to the village and it’s aray of small shops and eating establishments , also has a Tesco supper store within a 5-10 minutes walk .. Suitable for couples or families with a larg garden and play park nearby . I feel it was slightly let down by its cleanliness and that’s something that needs attention,

The stay at Delimara was just what we needed.. The location was perfect with everything so close. It was clean, comfortable and very well presented. I will not hesitate to try and book there when heading to that area again.

We were on a short break fishing along Chesil Beach.. This was an excellent cottage, very well located, close to the centre of the small town of Easton. Rooms very good sized and comfortable beds and the place was spotless. Would definitely book again.

The property was quite difficult to locate and the instructions from Sykes were not as precise as they might have been.. Instead of saying 'Pass Boots' it would be more helpful to say 'Turn right at Boots'.

An excellent experience.. Contact with the owner was good. The cottage is well equipped and well appointed. A great feature of the location is the excellent bus service to the centre of Weymouth (every ten minutes).

Only thing we found which was slightly disappointing was the, now, heavy development (residential and industrial) of Portland 'island ' which makes it overcrowded .. But then again you could say that about the greater part of England today. Dorset Council doing well out of parking charges ( even for disabled badge owners btw), but its what they spend the money on, which begs the question!? Portland Bill and rugged coastline still the same, for now!

The garden was beautifully maintained and a great place to sit in after a day's outing. We found the Owners a delightful couple to deal with. They were extremely proud of their property and quite rightly so. We will certainly consider another stay at Delimara.
