Area The picturesque Berwyn Mountains, surrounding wooded hills, and valleys are where Penybontfawr, a traditional Welsh community, is located. The Revolution Mountain Bike Park is located near the beautiful strolling village of Llangynog, which is only 2.5 miles distant. Slate, lead, and silver mining in the region have a long history that dates to the 17th century. A mountain biking centre is located at Llandegla, and the area is now well known for climbing, birdwatching, walking, and cycling. The area also has renowned mountain bike routes close to Dolgellau. While Llangynog has two pubs and Penybontfawr village has one, both offer delicious meals and are ideal places to unwind after an action-packed day out.
