Area
Esholt is situated between Shipley and Guiseley, in the metropolitan district of the City of Bradford. This village was once used to film scenes for 'Emmerdale' from 1976 to 1997; pleasant walks amble through the village, where you can stop off for a drink at the local pub on the way; The Woolpack is in the heart of Esholt, serving drinks, food and a friendly atmosphere. Close by is the town of Shipley, and the city of Leeds is further afield with many shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as Harewood House, Roundhay Park and Kirkstall Abbey. The North Yorkshire Dales are 16 miles to the north, for those who love being outdoors.

Region
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

This property has definitely got the WOW factor! The owners have done an amazing job converting this once derelict barn into a superb holiday home. It was an absolute privilege to spend a lovely week here in February - even the weather was very kind to us. Everything we needed and more was provided and the wine, hamper and all the little extras were very welcome. We used the hot tub every day and every evening we relaxed in front of the log burner. The village of Esholt is delightful and we visited The Woolpack several times. There are some nice walks through the woods and Shipley and Guiseley provide all the shopping facilities. We met Helen the owner the day before we left and she was lovely and friendly. I have already recommended Cunliffe Barn to all our friends and family and we will most certainly be back!

It would of been nice if the property had been warm when we arrived, it was only 14degrees and at 10 pm it had only reached 17 degrees.. It was due to the property being empty the week before because once the property got up to temperature it was lovely. They have got one room with 2 nice chairs and the log fire, which was lovely but I felt it was a wasted room as you couldn't do anything but read,we took a jigsaw but there was no table so you were unable to have a drink as there was no where to put it. I thought it would of been better with the tv and settee in there as when the fire was on it was absolutely lovely and cosy. Also could do with some various size dishes suitable for the oven. Last but not least lack of imformation for local attractions and local walks.

Absolutely lovely, only one problem and that was losing the hot water mid-shower on the morning we were leaving.. Other than that everything was fantastic right down to the extra little touches like the hamper and wine. Would highly recommend.

This cottage is superb quality.. It’s in a perfect location with local amenities only a stones throw away but still maintains a very private and secluded get away. This is by far the most amazing get away for couples or small groups of friends. Highly recommended.

The barn was beautiful and looked exactly the same as it does on the photos.. We had such a peaceful weekend and spending time in the hot tub was so nice. It was really close to the old emmerdale set and we enjoyed going to the woolpack and having a drink and a few photos. We had a lovely meal at the moody cow which was only 10 mins down the road and we would definatly recommend this barn to family and friends.

We had an amazing long weekend at this fabulous cottage.. The cottage itself is beyond stunning, a definite 20 out of 10. The exterior and interior has been done to a 10* standard and the only down side is you don’t want to leave the cottage to enjoy the area! It was even a struggle to go into the garden to use the lovely hot tub. You are within 30 minutes of the Yorkshire Dales/Moors and 5 minutes walk from the famed Emmerdale “Wooloack” pub which serves delicious food. The owner Helen is super friendly, helpful and welcoming and really wants her guests to have the best time. If you are thinking of booking this cottage, I promise you will not be disappointed but will definitely not want to leave.
