Situated within very easy walking distance of all the Buxton International Festival and Fringe venues, it is just 15 minutes walk from Buxton Opera House. Buxton is surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and lies less than a mile from the Peak National Park. The more adventurous can enjoy cycling, rock climbing and gliding. Visit Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, and the National Trust s Hardwick Hall, all of which have starred in the BBC period dramas and historical films. And if ever you do get a yearning for the big city, there s always Manchester, just an hour away on the train. The cottage has private off street parking for one car and a secure bike store for up to four cycles if you wish to bring your own bikes, with a charging point for electric bikes.
