Climb Latrigg behind the house to gaze over undulating surroundings and the lakes of Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater. Walk 1 mile into Keswick shop, dine out or see a play in the Theatre by the Lake. Take a cruise on the water or hire boats, paddle boards or canoes. Visit the Castlerigg Stone Circle during your stay. Some 3.5 miles away, this dates back to 3,000BC and captures views towards the mountains of Helvellyn. Wander on through to the striking lounge/diner, with its oak beams and vaulted ceiling above the dining area. Light the open fire, switch on the TV which has Freeview, or simply admire the artwork including an original sculpture.
