This is the perfect base to explore the Northern Lake District: Cat Bells fell and the mountains Skiddaw and Blencathra are all nearby and there are some great cycling routes too. The bustling market towns of Keswick (7 miles) and Cockermouth (8 miles) are both a short drive away where you will find a great selection of local amenities, restaurants and the National Trust s Wordsworth House and Gardens. The Lakes Distillery, home to the Lakes Gin collection, is just over a mile away and you can book a tasting session or tour. After a day out walking, why not book a relaxing spa day at the luxury hotel which is less than a mile away from your front door; they offer a selection of fabulous treatments or you can just enjoy an afternoon tea. As you enter the barn, you will find the bright and airy lounge, with feature stone walls, a comfy sofa, two armchairs and a wall mounted Smart TV, perfect for settling down and watching your favourite films.
