Take the short drive to Keswick (2.5 miles) and visit the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzle Place house of illusions, and the Theatre by the Lake. Don t miss the former home of Cumbria s greatest bard, William Wordsworth, in Grasmere (16 miles) where he and his sister Dorothy created a wonderful wild garden with local plants.
