Further afield, Ullswater (17 miles) is well worth the journey and you can board an Ullswater Steamer and admire the Aira Force waterfall for a day to remember. Step inside this Grade II listed home which dates back to the 18th century and settle in. Sit beneath exposed beams and in front of the roaring open fire in the lounge the perfect spot for relaxing.
