Bassenthwaite Lake Station is also on your doorstep. Enjoy a cream tea onboard the Orient Express train or a murder mystery evening! The Lakes Distillery is less than a mile away and offers tours, plus it has a lovely bistro to enjoy a spot of lunch. Alternatively, a friendly local pub is less than half a mile away, where guests can have dinner in traditional Lakeland surroundings. Walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice with some fabulous walks from the doorstep; explore Sale Fell or Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve. For any mountain bike enthusiasts, there are some brilliant tracks in Whinlatter Forest, only 8 miles away. Both Cockermouth and Keswick are also within 8 miles and have a great selection of independent shops and restaurants. As you enter this inviting cottage, you will find yourself in the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, with high ceilings; it is a bright and inviting space. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area with everything you need to self cater during your stay. The lounge has comfortable seats to relax and unwind, and French doors which open onto the garden. Off the lounge is the inviting shower room jump in after a nice long walk. Head up the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom which looks across the lounge and offers a relaxing sanctuary to unwind. The property overlooks a pretty meadow to the rear and has a lovely, enclosed garden with a lawn and patio area. There is seating and a BBQ, offering a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, read a good book or stargaze in the evening.
