Cark is a small village near Cartmel in the south of the Lake District. Cartmel has boutique shops, traditional pubs and the Michelin Starred L'Enclume restaurant. Take advantage of excellent walking opportunities amidst beautiful unspoiled countryside. Local attractions include Cartmel Race Course (2 miles), Cartmel Priory (2 miles), Holker Hall (0.5 miles), Lakeland Motor Museum (7 miles), Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway (6 miles) and Lake Windermere (9 miles). The seaside town of Grange over Sands is 4 miles away. The cottage enjoys open plan living with a well equipped kitchen and dining area. The cosy lounge features a window seat that overlooks the river where you can watch the world go by and curl up with a book, or relax on the comfortable sofa in front of the warming wood burner while enjoying a movie. Upstairs are two inviting bedrooms, one king size and one double. The spacious family bathroom has a bath, WC, basin and separate shower. To the rear of the cottage is a small open area (ideal for cycle storage) and to the front, there is a seating area that overlooks the river where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings and look out for the local wildlife.
