Very comfortable cottage with plenty of space which we liked.. Comfy king size bed and plenty of wardrobe space. Beautiful peaceful spot with nice outside area with moor views. Helpful owner on hand but not obtrusive.

Being an electric wheelchair user it isn't easy to find accessable cottages but luckily this property has a ramp to access the front door.. Unfortunately vehicle parking is at the rear of the property and there wasn't a ramp up to the rear door. Not really a problem but if it is raining it can be a little wet before getting around to the front door. Upon mentioning this to Keith, the owner of the property , he apologised and within five minutes he was outside the back door making an access ramp. Excellent customer care ! Had a really restful and relaxing stay at Pottofields farm and would recommend to anyone who wants to get away and leave the rat race behind for a while.

We have stayed here before as it is close to family and places we need to be.. Plenty of beautiful towns close by. We returned as Keith is very welcoming and the cottage is beautifully clean and comfortable. Thanks. See you soon!

My second stay at Cooper Cottage.. Keith was again very welcoming and helpful, and on hand to help with any queries. We had a really restorative stay. The kids enjoyed the quiet, rural location, and had great fun on the swings, including in the dark, where they enjoyed star gazing in the absence of light pollution. Being on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, Cooper Cottage is a great base from which to explore this beautiful area, with many lovely places to visit. I recommend a climb up Roseberry Topping on a clear day. We would also highly recommend the Blue Bell Inn at nearby Ingleby Cross for excellent pub food and an unspoiled country pub atmosphere. The staff were lovely, and the chef caters well for special dietary needs, in particular gluten free. Being a little "off grid" (no WiFi!) allowed us to enjoy some simple family pleasures, such as board games, in the evenings, where normally it might have been a struggle to prise my son away from his games console. The log burner added a lovely cosy element to the evenings. The facilities are lovely. Modern and clean, with all needs provided for, including dishwasher and washing machine. A minor point - ideally a fridge without a freezer compartment would be good, since the availability of a separate freezer (which is definitely a plus) negates any need for a freezer compartment in the fridge, and makes the actual fridge space rather small for a family. My only minor negative comment is (having come with my husband and children this time, as opposed to my mum and sister last time), the games room could do with a little TLC. There are no tips on the pool cues, so despite the presence of a pool table, you can't actually play. Could treat the room to a couple of new sets of darts, and a puck for the air hockey. None the less, we did make use of the games room, mainly the darts and the table football, and all enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely come again. Thanks Keith for a lovely stay.

Cooper Cottage was in the perfect location for our holiday as we were taking our mum to visit old friends in the area.. My mum was born in Swainby and we have all visited Pottofields farm many years ago as the farm belonged to my mum's friend's family. Cooper Cottage was spacious, clean, comfortable and very good value for money. For constructive feedback we thought we would need a larger fridge if we were staying there as a family with children. We also struggled to get the water to come out of the shower at the right temperature. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would be very happy to return. It really is a lovely location with views of the moors and is well set up for holidaymakers.

We really needed a break to chill out as a family, this is definitely the place to come and do that. When you look out of the kitchen window the view is trees and fields, on arrival the owner showed my husband around, he couldn’t have been more helpful, asking us if we needed anything else. I’m in a wheelchair and he was extra concerned that I had everything I needed and went away and returned with a bath board to help showering easier for me, nothing was too much trouble for him. The kitchen is well equipped and on the day we didn’t go anywhere we cooked a meal with ease, we also had a cooked breakfast most mornings. It was so nice having the dishwasher, so no washing up to do! We also haven’t taken home much washing because we’ve washed our clothes as the week as gone along in the washer/dryer. Stokesley is about 4 miles away and it’s a lovely little village where we’ve eaten twice, we’ve also used Coopers Cottage as a base to explore North Yorkshire, including Scarborough, we would definitely return because even my grown up autistic daughter felt safe and secure, thank you for a wonderful stay.

The owner, Keith is the perfect host- there when you need him and invisible when you don’t.. Cooper cottage is a great base for whatever you want to do. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including comfy beds and a lovely log burner ( my partners favourite feature.) This was our third year staying here and it won’t be our last.

Stayed for Easter weekend with kids and dog. Lovely area with some fab walks. About half an hour from Saltburn which has some lovely dog friendly pubs. Cottage is bigger than what I thought. Photos don't do it justice, as was spacious, spotlessly clean with really comfortable beds. Lots of fluffy towels ! Lovely log burner. Good facilities, cooked a roast no problem. Owner was really helpful. Would stay again :-)

This was our second stay at Cooper Cottage. The cottage is just lovely . Very comfortable and well equipped . The owners were very welcoming and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our experience in this wonderful place We stayed here recently with our two grandsons 8 & 5 for two weeks. They just loved it as we did. The location is great .So much around to see. We also took advantage of the lovey play area and games room, relaxing letting the boys play in a safe environment .Perfect for them and us. Relatives stayed in Pottowe cottage for a week .They also loved it too. The cottages are ideal for two families/ couples to get together for some quality time. I would recommend staying at either cottage .Once you do you will planning your next stay like ourselves .

A wonderful place to stay, it was so homely. The owners couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable, it was all the small details that made the difference. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring and was so relaxing. Within an hour of being there we were planning our summer stay and bringing our grandchildren.

This cottage has been converted from out buildings and the quality of the furnishings was high and we had a very comfortable and warm stay on a blowy week in October. We had some lovely walks into Potto where there is a fabulous pub and we'd stay again. The kitchen area was fine for a few days but didn't have much work space and we didn't use the electric hob much. The bathroom was spacious and immaculate, likewise the two bedrooms. The cottage is fairly remote so you have to drive about 3 miles to get provisions. There are some toys in an outbuilding also used by people who have horses stabled at the farm, but they were a bit basic and some couldn't be used as bits were missing e.g. the air hockey table. There are electric charging stations for those with electric cars!

Absolutely loved the cottage and we are planning to book to come back again soon. The cottage was a real find, and it really helped to make the weekend very special. Everyone relaxed from the moment they walked into the cottage - it immediately has a lovely atmosphere. It couldn't really have been better.

we stayed here for 4 nights at cooper cottage, in a lovely setting not far from stoksley and north yorkshire moors. The cottage was immaculate can not fault it in any way, very comfortable and the owner very friendly . I would return to this cottage and may well go back next year, cosy and warm with the added bonus of a log burner which we used only one night as you didnt really need it with the central heating. very clean and there was lots of lovely walks nearby . has everything you need for a welcoming comfortable stay .

This was our second stay at Cooper Cottage. We were drawn back by the caring service we received last time and were impressed once more by the welcome we received and the standard of the facilities. There are so many lovely little details in presentation that raise the bar for holiday lets. Potto is a lovely rural setting yet handy for the a 172 which gives access to all sorts of places - from the North York moors to Middlesbrough (great for visiting student family members!)

We liked everything about the cottage, it was our granddaughters first holiday together with her Mum and Dad, we were most impressed with the cottage and spent an excellent weekend in comfort, the sound of birds and owls at night was beautiful. close to Dales Towns, so excellent base for touring with Whitby just a few miles drive away, will be planning to come again.
