It was a great location.. ..close to the beach and for walks. Also, easy driving to local beauty spots. Very peaceful and relaxing environment and cottage was lovely and met all of our requirements.

The photos didn't do the location justice.. The constantly changing view of the sea, sky and Dunstanburgh Castle from the cottage was wonderful as was the incredible breadth of wildlife thanks to the nearby nature reserve. And yes, you can hear the sea from the cottage. We were also really impressed by the cleanliness of the beach and the quietness of the area. A wonderful holiday for anyone who wants to be somewhere quiet away from the crowds.

We had a wonderful week at your lovely cottage. It is in such a stunning location, my partner and I loved the fact it was still very quiet and the closeness to the beaches. We popped by the Ship Inn almost every day and took some of their locally brewed beer home with us to enjoy when we think back on this beautiful part of our country. We were able to sample plenty of local produce and explored the area both on foot to Craster for the famous crab sandwich lunch and back, and via a short car journey enjoyed visits to Seahouses, Bamburgh and Berwick too. A regular feature was an evening walk round Newton Point where we were lucky enough to observe a couple of barn owls hunting every night, saw a stoat and watched dolphins out at sea (albeit through our binoculars). The variety of bird species to watch was second to none! Appreciating we were one of the first visitors to the area since the easing of lock down restrictions and a lot of the facilities only starting to open up to the public we found most shops and amenities to be open for business. Luckily the weather paid its part during our stay and a boat cruise out to the Farne Islands was certainly our highlight. Observing guillemots, kittiwakes, shags and a personal favourite of mine, the puffins fishing, roosting on the cliffs, or just bobbing on the water. Absolutely priceless!!! We will be back - and that's a promise.

The cottage is in a perfect location with wonderful views.. Excellent for walking straight out to sandy beaches, rocky headlands, dunes and a local bird hide. Two nearby pubs with great food and lots of places to visit within a short drive or bus ride. The cottage itself is cosy and well equipped, spotlessly clean and ideal for a couple or small family. Bigger groups can rent next door too. Hope to return and will definitely recommend.

This has to be the ultimate get-away-from-it-all holiday destination. Low Newton is a small village on the coast with no through traffic and breathtaking views across Embleton Bay towards Dunstanburgh Castle. The cottage is beautifullly presented with a lovely garden. There is next to no mobile phone or internet reception, which only made the holiday better!

Wondeful view of sea and Dunstanburgh castle from cottage and ideal location to explore this wonderful part of the country. Cottage well presented but it might be a bit tight for space if there were 5 people.

The cottage has a wonderful outlook and was a lovely space to live in. The location was excellent, just what I wished for, a short walk to the beach, quiet and unspoilt.
