Coast House is a delightful detached cottage situated in a hamlet, two miles from the village of Laide and within driving distance of the town of Ullapool. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double with seating area, dressing room and en-suite shower, a ground floor double and a twin with seating area, together with a bathroom and ground floor shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside there's ample off road parking and a lawned garden with patio and picnic bench. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with seating area, dressing room and en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor double, 1 x twin with seating area. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Utility. Sitting room with piano and woodburning stove.

Area
The village of Laide is situated in the region known as Wester Ross and has a shop, Post Office, petrol station, church and the ruins of a medieval chapel. Beautiful Gruinard Bay, with its striking red sandy beaches and a backdrop of spectacular mountains is within reach, and the renowned National Trust Inverewe Gardens full of exotic plants is just eight miles away.

Excellent, spacious house with fantastic views across the bay.. The house is set back from the road in a very private setting. An ideal base for visiting the area. Would recommend visiting the beaches at Mellon Udrigle, Firemore, Redpoint and the beaches at Gairloch. Lots of walks in the area from easy to the more adventurous. Discovered a cave just west off the house. Start point is a small wooden post between a couple of large laybys. Excellent small shops in Laide, Aultbea, Poolewe and Gairloch. Saw a Tesco delivery van everyday so you may be able to arrange an online delivery to the house rather than take everything you need. Saw otters, deer, seals, wild goats and buzzards in the area.

We had a lovely week in Coast House, so much so that we have already booked to return! It is very conveniently situated on the main road, but is well below it and on the sea side which means there is no traffic noise and it is very private. The views are magnificent and we enjoyed being able to walk down to the coast from the back garden (although there is no clear path and it is quite steep). The garden was tidy and pretty, and it would be lovely to sit outside, weather permitting. The house is spacious, very well appointed and comfortable, warm and the water is very hot. The kitchen is very well equipped - Coast House felt more like a home than a holiday house. The utility room was an unexpected bonus. The housekeeper Isabel and the owner responded promptly to a couple of queries about the heating - a little bit more information on how it works would be helpful for future guests and would have meant we wouldn't have needed to bother them! All in all, highly recommended - thank you.

The cottage was fantastic had everything needed for a brilliant two weeks a real home from home experience with absolutely awesome views, lovely wildlife.. and a beautiful setting. The cottage was also not to far from any amenities with post office, garage and cafe's virtually on the doorstep and only a few miles from Gairloch. would suit walkers or any travellers using it as a base to explore the area. fantastic beaches in very close proximity. lots to praise the place about and nothing to complain about at all. A truly magnificent holiday

The roads are now very busy with Campervans and Motorbikes 'doing' the North Coast 500 route, which makes travelling in the area less pleasurable than it used to be.. Many of the laybys and roadside parking areas have Campervans in overnight.

We thought the was fantastic.. Home from home, yet still a holiday home. The views were outstanding, more than we expected from the advertising photos. The house also was "better' in reality to the photos. Would definitely recommend Coast House.

This is a lovely place in a stunning location and the handwritten information was a nice touch.. However, it was short on information for using the kitchen appliances particularly the oven, in addition there was no information about the heaters, which would have been helpful when it turned colder. Furthermore some information about local restaurants, cafes and other attractions would be helpful.

Like a home from home, but it's better than your own home! The owners have an amazing eye for detail which makes all the difference. It's the perfect base for a Highlands holiday, much as we don't want anyone else to know about it, it just is, and the majesty of the Highlands needs sharing as much as it needs preserving. What can I say apart from absolutely amazing.. Could not fault a single thing and wouldn't change anything about Coast House. It's so homely and everything has been thought out so well. We were made to feel so welcome and the lovely little touches made it extra special. It was our first visit to Coast House and hopefully wont be our last. A true diamond in the Highlands.

The cottage is in an outstanding location - absolutely stunning views (although we were lucky to have beautiful weather).. The house itself is lovely - a warm, welcoming home from home with a cosy wood-burning stove to hand if you want to heat it up even more. The local shop has most items you could need as well as petrol. Lots of gorgeous sandy beaches within 2 miles of the cottage - ideal for walking the dog. We would go back in a heartbeat!
