External area leads on to Raithwaite Estate Grounds which has gardens and paths to explore.. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Within 1.2 miles there is a shop and within 0.8 miles, a pub. Clematis Cottage is a wonderful base for exploring the North Yorkshire coastline.

Whitby, among its many attractions, has a beautiful ambience, with meandering streets and hidden alleyways where you may find a diverse selection of cafés and boutiques.
