Area
Home to the famous Bronte sisters, the small village of Haworth and the surrounding moorland inspired the women to put pen to paper and to write what have now become classics of English literature. With its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, there is a wonderful period atmosphere in this charming town set against the backdrop of countryside that would eventually be made famous in ‘Wuthering Heights'. The Worth Valley Railway is also nearby and was used in the film 'The Railway Children'. Trips around the old village of Oxenhope on the wonderful steam trains make for a special day out whilst The Bronte Parsonage museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail all make equally good attractions whilst the market town of Skipton – often called the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales – is only a short drive away.

Region
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

September 2020
Fantastic cottage on the doorstep of the main street with access to local pubs and shops.. A great base for exploring the local area. Cottage was so comfortable and the kitchen was much larger than expected, whilst having a lovely homely feel. We have visited Haworth before but never stayed, but now that we have found this delightful cottage we will be returning.

It was rebook from cancellation in April.. Couldnt get same house nr Chester so booked Haworth instead. Should be noted Haworth is built on a hill and any walking from the property will require ability to walk some fairly steep inclines so not suitable for all. Chapel View house is one room 3 levels so again mobility is a factor. Owners had no recycling bin and there was no info in cottage about village recycling site which we found nr railway station. Cottage well restored lots of space for two and good location for main street with pubs cafes and shops.

Great little cottage, in a beautiful area.. everything great except one small thing. running a hot bath takes ages. showers great , but running bath with hot tap open you get warm water, have to turn down to get almost hot water. one thing i love after a long run is a hot bath. Everything else was perfect thanks

Excellent holiday.. Only a couple of things would change it from 9 to 10 out of ten. Those would be WiFi installed and a Manuel for tips eg where to find nearest grocery store and how to find/ set heating!!

Alan & Amanda.. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The cottage has been very well refurbished and decorated to a very high standard. The area has lots to offer from walking cycling and drive through amazing scenery. The local pubs cater for all and very dog friendly. An area and cottage we would gladly return to.

Second stay at Chapel View and it really is one of the best cottages we stay in.. The cottage is warm and cosy and the facilities are brilliant. Location to Haworth is first rate. Very clever conversion of an old terraced cottage. We will stay here again. Thank you

My third time of staying at this cottage and returning in December for Christmas so needless to say I love it..

October 2018
It met our expectations as we had been before! Only quibble would be about outside dustbin - which was full on arrival (presumably not emptied on 5th) and not emptied on 12th. Should there be a black bin as well, as we assumed because the only one is green, it was meant for recycling. No info re this in the cottage.

Chapel View was a charming cottage.. Everything had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Howarth was a lovely village and the Parsonage was so good we went twice. There were lots of lovely shops and eating places on the way up to the Parsonage with some great coffee houses and the Old Inn Hall was a particular favourite. Another great benefit for the area was the bus service which was great going in any direction.

The photos of Chapel View on the website do not do justice to this lovely cottage.. It is a 19th century cottage that has been beautifully and sensitively restored by its owners. Its set over three floors, so spacious, but still feels very cosy. It's right in the heart of everything - a short walk from the steam railway station and bus stops, and literally across the road from the main high street, a stone's throw to the moors and great walks. The cottage is in a very quiet 'unadopted' road, and it was nice to feel part of the neighbourhood rather than a tourist. We really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to get in touch with the owner to arrange key collection etc, and they gave us lots of information both o the phone and via maps, leaflets and booklets about the area placed in the house. Both check in and check out was seamless, and the owner was easily contactable about these arrangements. Highly, highly recommended.

We have just returned home after a lovely week in Chapel View, Haworth.. It's a comfortable cottage in an excellent location within walking distance to the many cafes and pubs in the village. The neighbours are extremely friendly as are all the shop owners and our two dogs were welcome everywhere. There is so much walking and exploring right from the doorstep you wouldn't need to take your car out. As a previous guest mentioned, the cottage is on three floors and the stairs are quite steep so it might not suit everybody. For us it just added to all the uphill down dale exercise we got throughout the week which we thoroughly enjoyed. Jenny, Paul, Angus & Murphy

Beautiful cottage, fantastic location.. Everything very thoughtfully and lovingly laid out and organised - from towel hooks on the backs of doors, to automatic hallway lighting, it felt very well thought out and simply but beautifully decorated. And not stuffed with the decorative tat and clutter so often found in holiday cottages! Really wonderful place, and with kind neighbours, too. Would love to go back there again.

Cottage lovely in a quiet location but only a couple of minutes walk from Main Street with cafes, pubs, and shops.. Central Park also a couple of minutes is a credit to Haworth and must be the best kept park we've seen. Chapel View was everything we had hoped for and more, clean, well equipped with a nice enclosed garden at the front, opening into a little green lane so handy for our dogs. We will definitely be visiting again.

Chapel View is a little gem of a place.. Tucked away in a quiet street but close to lots of places to eat and drink. The surrounding area, which was new to us, is absolutely beautiful. . We visited with 2 dogs and were warmly welcomed every where we went. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy and has everything you could need ( decent shower which isn't always the case!) And the owners have provided a little book detailing the renovation, which was a nice touch. Can thoroughly recommend the Old Registry for a very nice dinner. Would love to visit again.

This was the second time in this cottage as last year we were not well and had to go home early. It has been well thought out and you would be a sad person indeed if you criticised it. Very well equipped kitchen and the whole house is lovely and warm. Dog friendly with Karndean practical floors. You need to be fit though as you find yourself continually going up and down stairs with it being on three levels! You invariable find something is in the 'wrong' place! Plenty of space to park down Prospect Street/Minnie Street without upsetting the residents. Yards away from several eateries but SO quiet. Last year I commentated that it needed a hook behind the bedroom door for a dressing gown and low and behold this year there it was! Thank you.

The cottage is ideal in location, layout, size and presentation.. Wonderful and very well equipped. The cottage is faultless and brilliantly placed for everything Haworth. Parking is not a problem. A suggestion would be the usual list of important phone numbers, i.e. Doctors, vet etc. It seemed to be missing and we did require a vet so it would have been helpful. We will I hope stay here again

December 2017
Lovely, warm, welcoming and comfortable cottage, right in the heart of the picturesque town of Haworth.. Very well equipped and located, close to the park and easy access to the Moors, Chapel View is great not just for people but their dogs as well.

This was our second visit to this wonderful cottage. It has been lovingly restored by the owners who we had a chat with on our arrival. It is set out over three floors and has everything you need with a lovely kitchen/diner for those that do want to cook. A nice size bedroom with a king size bed and a wonderful power shower in the bathroom. Restaurants and pubs are all on your doorstep and takeaway's are just down the hill with a spar and an ATM there as well. It is a perfect location for walking and everywhere was so dog friendly. Will definitely be back as long as the dog can get fit again.

This was our 1st visit to Howarth but definitely won't be our last . Had great relaxing week (well apart from walking nearly 50 miles over the week) at Chapel View. Just lovely, ticked all the boxes for us. Walks from the door, dog friendly and warm and comfortable, loved the big kitchen where we spent most of our evenings planning our next day over a bottle (or two ) of wine. Howarth locals were friendly and most if all welcomed us and Kodie our lively Springer Spaniel. Will definitely be back next year

October 2014

October 2014
Loved the cottage, it was so homely. We spent most time in the kitchen as we love to cook so spent most evenings cooking and chatting with the odd glass to accompany! Fabulous village with walks from the door which is great. A fabulous place to relax and unwind, warm and cosy after a long walk, via (for us anyway) the steam brewery for a quick drink on our way home. Fully recommend.

After a long journey the welcoming warm cottage Chapel View made us feel at home straight away. Everything we could possibly need was provided for, and it brought a smile to our faces! The kitchen especially is fabulous! It is ideally located for little shops, pubs, and eateries, and of course the Bronte Museum, and the wonderful countryside for walking. We had everything we needed on our doorstep, and we had the best time! We will be telling family and friends what a great time we had! Highly recommended all round!

One of the best cottages we have stayed in, from the stunning kitchen through to the lounge and up to the top floor, there was very little to fault this cottage. Situated over three floors, the stairs might be a bit steep for some people, but the overall this cottage is wonderful. At the time there was no WiFi, but a very short walk to Haworth Hall, good food and drink, free WiFi is available. Also a short walk away through the local Park is the steam railway, which is always worth a visit. Although there is no parking provided at the cottage there was always spaces on the adjoining streets. It is an excellent place to relax, and also ideal for exploring Haworth and the surrounding area. We will be returning as we enjoyed our stay here so much.

Everything was excellent. The cottage is done out to a high specification and very tasteful. It is very well situated - near Haworth's historic high street and 'Bronte land' - and there is a park about a minute's walk away for the dog! The owner was really helpful - would love to visit again.

A great cottage, very well refurbished. All we required of the property. Lovely woodstove but the property was so warm we didn't need it. The cottage was so conveniently located we parked our car and didn't need it for the week. Plenty of pubs and cafes(lots dog friendly), wonderful walks and very helpful people. I need a Gluten free diet and I found most eating places very helpful. The Bronte Museum and guided walk a must.
