Go fishing on the stocked Coarse lake, or fly fishing at either of the ground’s two rivers. Sit out under the gazebo with a holiday read, or simply enjoy a cup of tea at the bench overlooking the pretty pond. Serene and picturesque, your lovely cottage is ensconced in natural beauty. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable high-ceilinged living room with exposed wooden beams. There’s a wood burner by the leather sofas to help keep things toasty, and the open-plan space means that the kitchen and dining room will also benefit from the fire’s roaring blaze. Prepare a home-cooked meal to enjoy at the light wood table all together, then enjoy some drinks on the courtyard before retiring to the large bright bedrooms. They have a relaxing and breezy feel, thanks to the light wicker headboards and matching chairs. Sprawl out and sink into a deep night of rest, the kind you can only get when you’re really away from it all.
