Wonderful property for a family get together

Fantastic to be able to walk with our dog in the acres of land owned by Caroline, the host, The scenery is beautiful and it was so peaceful.. My granddaughter loved splashing in the ford which is very close to the house and we saw kingfishers , herons and red kites, The house is large and the garden secure. Beds are really comfortable and we had all the facilities we needed. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommend!

This cottage is located in a small hamlet at the foot of Wenlock Edge.. The house is dog friendly downstairs with hard floor and tile coverings. There was everything we needed at the house. The owners had given a lot of thought of how to ensure Covid 19 risks were minimised, kitchen cloths, gloves, etc were put in a plastic bag so you knew they were clean, the crockery and cutlery were in the dishwasher so you knew they'd just been washed. There was antibacterial spray, hand wash and hand gel throughout the house. The owners live next door and were very friendly. We would stay there again.

Great cottage, everything there you could possibly need.. Quality of the bedding was fab and contributed to a great nights sleep. The carrot cake was delicious and very welcome.

Lovely cottage.. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Description says there is a pub 9 mins walk away. Not true! It's not an easy walk to the nearest pub, particularly in winter. We found the Wi-Fi a bit slow but there were several people trying to use it at once. Overall though I would still recommend this cottage.

This is our third visit to this cottage.. It is in a peaceful location and near several pubs that take dogs. The owner was very helpful and had provided lovely cake, eggs and apple juice. Thoroughly recommend Ludlow Food Centre, Carding Mill and walks from Shooting Box. Great for cycling too.

Byne Brook is a very well equipped house, I don’t think I have rented anywhere before that has been so well equipped, the beds are very comfortable! Sykes neglected to let the owner know there were 4 of us staying so we only had one bed made up but Caroline(who is a great host) got this quickly sorted! We will be booking this house again!

Byne Brook Cottage was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well equipped.. Situated in a quiet position, with plenty to do within easy car travelling distance. The owners live next door, but are unobtrusive, and easily available by telephone if needed. We had a very enjoyable stay here.

Byne Brook Cottage was the perfect family getaway.. It was wonderfully clean, well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. It is brilliantly spacious, the photo's do not do it justice. It's location is excellent, country side on your doorstep and all the amenities you need a 5 minute car drive away with Ludlow and Church Stretton a short car ride away. The owners were helpful and friendly giving advice on the local area for walks to do and the thoughtful touches of cakes and local apple juice on arrival, could not have asked for anything more from this trip FULLY recommend and we are booking up again this year!!!

Just arrived home from our second visit to this absolutely beautiful cottage and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful, clean, spacious cottage in a wonderful location with plenty of walking on your doorstep. Fantastic enclosed garden for dogs and children. Had everything we needed for a lovely stay! Thanks so much for the cake it was a lovely touch! Hope to return in the future.

This cottage is far larger and spacious than you see on the photographs.. We had 4 adults, 2 children and 2 large dogs and there was still acres of space to move around. Cottage was nice and warm too. Excellent everything (especially the wardrobes for playing hide and seek with young children!)
Mrs Boycott
November 2018
The cottage is beautiful.. All the fixtures and furnishings are top quality. There is so much room too. The garden is safe for kids or dogs. There is no street lighting so the night sky is stunning (weather permitting). The fresh meat shop down the road is now permanently closed but there is an independent butcher in the supermarket Tuffins in Craven Arms. The cottage is situated in an area ideal for walkers and for visiting some lovely towns and villages. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Very spacious house for six adults and two dogs.. Bedrooms were extremely roomy and beds incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately the sofas were less so, one in particular which led to those who sat on it with bad backs the next morning.

August 2018
An excellent property, the cottage was well maintained and the owners were really friendly.. The cake on arrival was a nice touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and we completed the farm walk which was also really pleasant. The countryside around the village was superb with different levels of walks for everyone. The supermarket in Craven Arms (5 mins drive) meant we could get all our supplies easily. Would recommend this cottage, especially if you are large family as there is plenty of space to relax

It was our second trip to Bynebrook, it is such a good base for the family to get together , and worth going for the grandchildren just to splash in the nearby ford each day! Very welcoming, home baking and apple juice awaiting us and clean, comfortable rooms with lots of hot water for mucky children (and adults!) Lots to do locally, country walks in the Stretton Hills, a day out at Attingham Park and another day on the Severn Valley railway. Excellent all round.

A lovely spacious cottage better than expected warm and welcoming loved it ..

February 2018
The cottage was far bigger than we envisaged from the photos.. The location was superb, with great dog washing facilities in the ford at the bottom of the lane (and our two Labradors were particularly impressed!). Great utility room to then dry them off in too. Bedrooms were enormous and beautifully furnished. Garden is a good size and was very secure. Saw the Milky Way on several nights as it was incredibly dark! Lovely two mile walk around owner's farm. Good farm shop just 200yds away with excellent meat, pickles, chutneys, jams, cake and honey, plus a few vegetables. Local supermarket at Craven Arms had all the other necessaries. Will go to farm shop at Ludlow when we are back in September to see what's there too. Went past it a few times but didn't call in. Excellent pubs at Wistentow (The Plough, less than a mile away) and Little Stretton (The Green Dragon, about 5 miles away), both of which allow dogs. Enjoyed amazing walks in Carding Mill Valley (near Church Stretton) and would highly recommend the National Trust café there as you can sit outside with the dogs under cover.

February 2018
The cottage was superb in every way.. The accommodation was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for all the walks and day trips we did including The Long Mynd, Church Stretton and Stokesay Castle. We enjoyed the log fire very much on the colder nights and it was great that the garden was enclosed so that we could let the dog out. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone and hope to be back ourselves!

November 2017
Lovely house in a nice location.. Close to the A49 so ideal for a base to explore the area. The house is big with spacious rooms, comfortable seating in the lounge and a pleasant, enclosed garden. There was everything that we needed (although a shaver point would have been helpful) and the owners were helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back.

September 2017
Stayed at Byne Brooke Cottage in August. The cottage had very large rooms and provided more than enough space for six adults, a baby and two large dogs. There was homemade apple juice and lemon drizzle cake waiting for us on arrival, both of which were absolutely delicious! The owners were close by if we needed anything but left us to enjoy our holiday. Everything we needed was there anyway, including a travel cot and plenty of sheets. The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings were lovely. The garden is secure enough to let dogs out without worry and the barbecue is an added bonus! There are two pubs within walking distance. We went for a drink at The Plough and returned later in the week for a meal which was nice. There is a public footpath to walk there which one of our party found when he went for a run. No need to walk along the main road. We enjoyed visiting Ludlow, Stokesay castle, Ironbridge and Cardingmill Valley.

Spent Christmas 2016 at this lovely house, the rooms are all large , there is a log burner in the lounge which is great on a cold winters night. Dogs are welcome and you have access to the farms 350 acres to walk in. Mr & Mrs Morgan could not of been more welcoming. We highly recommend this place as a holiday retreat away from a busy life. We also took my mother with us which was her first holiday in nearly 30 years and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The bedrooms are a good size and one has an ensuite, the main bathroom has a bath and shower. There is also a garage which is great for bikes or a trailer We enjoyed it so much here we have booked again for next April for a mid week break

Having stayed at Strefford Hall Farm properties before we were interested in this cottage for a holiday with friends. To say that we were overwhelmed by the place would be an understatement. It far exceeded our expectations not only by the quality of the furnishings, but the space it afforded to us. A very peaceful haven where everything was provided. Fantastic comfortable beds, a well fitted kitchen, very light and airy throughout, with a spacious garden. Craven Arms is a place not frequented by many Tourists and is an ideal spot to explore the Englis/Welsh border. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked for next year before we left. Suitable for discerning visitors only.

June 2016
Byne Brook Cottage is a spacious well-equipped comfortable house which is very well kept by the owner. She was there to greet us - even though our arrival was later than we had anticipated due to traffic problems - and made sure we had everything we needed which included clean laundry in the middle of our two week stay despite having problems with her laundry contractor. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and would go back to Byne Brook Cottage without hesitation.

March 2016
The location of Byne Brook Cottage was brilliant and the area was so peaceful. The property is well proportioned, so it was ideal for a group six to relax and to cook and eat as family. It is close to Ludlow, which is a lovely town and well worth a visit and you're in the middle of the Shropshire hills so plenty of walks to go on.

February 2016
We loved the fact that the cottage was always warm which was very welcome. We are a family of four plus dog and the tiles and laminate flooring were perfect for a muddy family rearming after a day of walking. It was very easy to keep clean and we did not have to worry about ruining carpets. Guest's comfort had clearly been well thought of and we enjoyed all those little touches that showed our needs had been catered for. This was a beautifully presented cottage that was also practical. It was in a very central part of Shropshire with easy access to everything we wanted to do. It doesn't get much better than that and we will be booking again next year, as soon as we can work out when the half term is.

We loved Byne Brook Cottage and the owners were very keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The property was extremely clean and all the towels and bed linen were pristine. We are hoping to return in spring or summer.
