We can not fault Madeleine and her attention to every little detail at this superb cottage. Everything about our stay here exceeded our expectations. The cottage was beautifully presented throughout on arrival and we could not have asked for more. The use of her own private garden was a nice and unexpected touch. Thank you for a lovely week.

Bramble Cottage was just as described only better, there’s so much to do in and around the area of Ringmore with excellent beaches, superb pubs for dining out. The cottage was warm and welcoming and we’ve had a great time, I would definitely recommend it and would go back again.

What a delightful place.. Bramble Cottage is cosy, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. We had a splendid holiday with easy access to walks on the South West Coast Path, and Burgh Island. Supper was very good at the Journeys End just down the hill and the shop at St Anne’s had everything. Highly recommended.

There was a very nice Christmas welcome waiting for us, the cottage was decorated with Christmas lights and plenty of goodies, including homemade mince pies and clotted cream, a small Christmas cake, a bottle of wine, bowl of fruit, that was a good start to the week, oh I forgot to mention a plate of flapjack.. Every thing was extremely clean and comfortable, we should like to return sometime in the future. Margaret Jones.

Bramble cottage has everything you could want and everything works and is easy to use.. There is good storage space, it is well sound insulated and there is a view of the sea looking out over the roof of the 14th century Journey's End pub. There is an attractive selection of pictures with a sea theme on the walls, and a shelf full of useful and up to date local guides The beds are comfortable, the linen spotless. Owner Madeleine gave us a lovely welcome and the daily newspaper was much appreciated. Ayrmer Cove is great for swimming and a short walk past thatched cottages and green fields. There is excellent gastro pub and ordinary pub food are nearby, together with a fish and chip shop very close on Challaborough Beach, plus a very well stocked food shop in the next village. No negatives whatsoever - a model place to stay!

This is our second stay at Bramble Cottage.. We returned because the cottage itself is outstanding in cleanliness, comfort, position and convenience. Ringmore is a lovely village with superb walks down the valley to the beautiful coast and small beach. Nearby Bigbury on Sea is a wonderful place to walk and explore with a beautiful beach and fascinating cliffs. Madeleine Capps, who owns the cottage, is the perfect hostess and helpful and friendly in every way. It is an ideal place in which to spend a holiday.

The cottage was charming with a storybook view from the master bedroom. Freshly made flapjacks and flowers greeted our arrival from the owner Mrs Capps, who was delightful. We stayed in the cottage with our grown up sons to celebrate my 60th birthday and relived happy days on Bigbury beach playing cricket and football and the most stunning cliff walks on the nearby coastal pathway. In the evening a well-earned pint in the Journey's End, a 17th century pub 500yds down the road in the sleepy village, you could almost sense the ghosts of long gone smugglers. The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped and had two blue sky sunny days ... what's not to like !

The accommodation was just as described (if not better) than on the website,it was traditional with a nautical decor which made you feel you were close to the sea. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. We were met with a very warm welcome with a quick tour round of the property with a few helpful hints of where to go and what to do. The village was idyllic with a very quaint local pub and a short picturesque walk to a local beach (10 minutes)
