It's a nice house, but there were a few issues with our stay. The double bed we slept in was comfortable, but I noticed a very small stain on the throw. The wi-fi signal downstairs is so poor that you have to take your mobile, etc., upstairs to use the Internet. It's also worth noting that there isn't a bath, just a shower. Furthermore, the electric hob in the kitchen was not in a good state and there weren't any oven gloves. The big disappointment was, though, the lack of live TV and I couldn't stream any TV downstairs due to the poor wi-fi signal, when I used my computer. It wouldn't have been so much of a problem in the Summer due to the long daylight-hours; but in the Winter, when the attractions close at 4pm and the shops in Conwy at 5pm, this is a real problem. To avoid getting bored in the evening and dining in a silent house, we made sure we visited some pubs in and around Snowdonia.

The fact that we had to call the owner's mobile to know how to collect the keys (from a key-safe, it turned out) and that there was no meet and greet, gave us the impression that they didn't care about us at all.

This is our 3rd visit to the "boathouse" and we shall hopefully be back again next year.. we just love the place, cosy but roomy with fabulous bedrooms and the new bathroom with the large shower is fantastic! I tell the owners every time i speak to them that if i win the lottery i will buy the "boathouse off them, but no such luck so far !!

We really liked this quirky house and it worked very well, there are some minor faults that would need attention locks on doors, showers leaked onto the bathroom floor, but all in all would not stop us from returning ..

Great location for visiting a lot of different places in north wales.. Quirky house living upstairs and sleeping downstairs took a bit of getting used to.lighting in house confusing in some areas - bulbs may have been out?Washing machine drum had jagged edges and ruined a significant amount of new clothes unfortunately.Left owner a note, so hope this does not happen to anyone else

Had a lovely week here at beginning of November. Really quirky house with bags of character. Location is ideal for the beach and perfect for exploring Snowdonia, Anglesey and surrounding area. Only problem was the lack of curtains in the living dining area when we stayed. There are blinds but it made the rooms feel cold and hollow. Also basics like oven gloves were missing. Apart from this the house was nice.

Half-screens at the shower are useless.. A full screen or curtain are required to prevent water going onto the floor.

The house is very quirky and it's like an exploration when you get here going over the 3 floors finding nooks and crannies including the porthole sea view! The upstairs balcony is fab with new great seating much better than shown on the photos and a BBQ for summer evenings. There is everything you could ask for, extra fridge freezer in the storeroom where there is a washer and dryer too. The beds are fab and comfy. Lovely area to visit places around the coast. All in all a fab holiday stay.

We had a lovely stay in the house. Lovely BBQ and roof terrace, lovely location for dog walks and views of the Great Orme and Snowdonia. The location of the property was so nice and quiet, the street was quiet. Driveway parking and everything you need just a short drive away. We have a fantastic week here a great place to have as a base to the explore North Wales from. Good communication from the Landlady direct and nothing was too much of an issue. Lovely stay made for a lovely holiday. Thank you!

We enjoyed the quirkiness of the property, it was very different from anywhere that we have stayed before. There were lots of extra touches, it was not just a bare holiday let. The house had lots of character and excellent coastal walks right on it's doorstep in both directions.

We loved all of the small quirky details that were spread all through the house. It was a beautiful and comfortable home away from home. It was in a perfect location that gave us access to many different places to enjoy.

The house was incredibly comfortable, very cosy and the information left by the owners was clear and easy to follow. Everything about the lay out of the house was an invitation to 'make yourself comfortable'. The owner was contactable and was happy to help with any queries. The outside of the property was equally as comfortable and in the better weather would be a beautiful area to sit and waste the day away. The proximity to the local beaches, shops etc. was just right. A real hidden gem. We will recommend this place to friends.
