A stones throw from the vibrant bustle of Falmouth but nicely set back & secluded to be relaxing. Minutes away from Watersports Centre, Gylly Beach, coast walks & Helford Passage.
Ideal for those wanting to stay in Falmouth and see more of Cornwall who don't have a car. There is a parking space with the flat suitable for cars up to estate and 4 by 4 size. Otherwise if you own a van there is nearby parking in the back roads 3 minutes away.
Centrally located, trains leave regularly from The Dell (Falmouth Town Train Station) which is carrying a large backpack or cases about a 10-15 minute walk away.
Buses run from The Moor which is only 10 minutes away (with cases) to Truro, Penzance and other connecting towns. I am happy to help you research travel logistics and itinerary.
Large, light, spacious, modern flat with a cosy and comfortable vibe.
This room is cosy, light, fresh and modern and comfortably sleeps two people. Although the shower is not en suite it is clean and easy to use.
Falmouth's abundant natural beauty has inspired me, local contemporaries and great writers such as Daphne Du Maurier, for whom Frenchman's Creek, a nearby tributary of the Helford Passage inspired her work of the same name. For those who love being around, in and on the waters that surround Falmouth as much as I do this is a perfect location. Trips along the Helford Passage leave from the nearby Prince of Wales Pier which is 2-5 minutes away. Sailing courses run regularly at the Watersports Centre (5 minutes away) welcoming newbies and seasoned sailors alike. The walk along the coast path from popular Gyllyngvase Beach (15 minutes away) winds round to the charming family fave Swanpool Beach, then on past more secluded spots to mellow Maenporth and yonder to sublime alpine wooded Durgan Village & Beach on the Helford Passage. Take a picnic or for something more fancy try Trebah gardens for a lush lunch.
Considering it's size there is wonderful creative diversity here. From experimental music made entirely from DIY instruments to trad Celtic folk, rock, punk, indie, gypsy, balkan, ska, funk, reggae or blues, there is something on offer every night. For rainy days the local aquarium (5 minutes away) is a star attraction, raising awareness of the wonderful life in or local waters; educating regarding conservation while remaining fascinating and fun. Otherwise catch a film at the Pheonix Cinema on the moor (5 minutes away), or for some more unusual titles try the Poly Arts Centre (5 minutes away). There are no big stores around here, but if you like something more unique and quirky try some of the shops on the High Street. The Natural Store sells lush nibbles, Sheikyerbooty sells beautiful bohemian and alternative clothing and there are nice vintage and antique vendors too.
