Problems with the heating not resolved until the day we left (1day early due to work), kettle which dribbled boiling water which was replaced with one which died so 2 days without a servicable one.. When bed is made into double access is poor. I don't particulalry like the area but my wife does so we will be back later in the year. Very windy so I manged to get 3-1000piece jigsaws done in a week. Having lived in suffolk most of my life I rarely visited the East Coast as it has an air of faded gentility and hasn't yet arrived in the 20th century let alone the 21st. Shingle 'beaches' are not to my or my dog's taste, nor is the 10 mile drive to the coast from the awful A12.

Both your website and ore valley cottages website show a bath not just a shower with a curtain.. Very disappointed. Cottage good apart from above. Well kept and well kept gardens.

Had a lovely time at the cottage with our dog.. Very comfortable with plenty of room and all you need on hand. Loved walking around the pond and enjoying the countryside. Was well positioned to explore the local area. Hoping to return as we were so relaxed and happy there and see more of what is on offer in this pretty part of Suffolk.

The cottage was very welcoming, warm and comfortable.. All facilities were there, but we noticed a lot of pet hairs on the living room floor and on both rugs. The WiFi, which is becoming essential, was very poor. The password given in the cottage manual did not work for a connection. The welcome pack was a very nice gesture and greatly appreciated. One thing the really stood out for us was the lack of any sort of greeting from the owners, there was a contact number given but that does not mean as much as a face to face with our hosts. we left our comments in the visitor book but for our "complaints" we left a separate note.

Great location, very tranquil and relaxing.. The cottage was extremely comfortable, very clean and well equipped with everything you need, with views over the splendid lawns and lake. The owners had left us milk, bread and biscuits which was very kind of them. The grounds were superb and well kept and our dog, Annie, thoroughly enjoyed the holiday as well being able to run free around the grounds and in the meadow. Very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The Cottage itself is brilliant, the beds were SO comfortable, the best we've experienced when travelling. We spent quite a bit of time in the cottage during our week's stay and it was a real home from home.

Very nice welcome pack, bread, milk and jam, very good. Owners were very welcoming. The Cottage is cosy and comfortable with a nice view of the lake. Fallow deer in the fields behind the cottage and a kingfisher near the lake. Excellent.

This is one of the best holiday cottages we have had, it's great for a peaceful relaxing holiday and located ideally for travel to all locations in Suffolk Norfolk. It has extensive grounds where dogs can be exercised, and early in the morning and late evening the ducks wander up the lawn from the lake, past the patio doors for a graze on the lawns. We give this cottage and location 10/10.

A wonderful holiday cottage in an idyllic setting. We were offered a very warm welcome with our young daughter (6months) and our dog. Perfect location for easy access to tourist attractions i.e. Sutton Hoo as well as gorgeous coastal towns on offer in Suffolk. I cannot recommend Barn Owl Cottage highly enough.
