What a lovely clean & cosy cottage.. Lovely welcome pack. Great location for exploring the area.

Lovely property in an ideal location I would return without thinking about it
A lovely cosy cottage in a great location.. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would choose it again as an ideal base for the Lakes and Dales. Welcome pack and already-made-up log burner were really nice touches. Bathroom and bedroom quite small but ok for a short stay of a few days. Parking space very tight so needs considering if you're coming in a very large car or motor-home as I think you'd struggle to park next to the property. Overall really good and would recommend to people.
Mrs Howard, September 2020
The cottage was everything we wanted and more.. I would highly recommend. Leaving us milk, flowers cake, cheese and crackers and doggy biscuits was a lovely touch. Very close to Penrith, Ullswater and not too far from Keswick so lots to do.
Mr Baker, August 2020
It was so lovely with the little extra things that Cheryl is for you, cheese and crackers and a pint of milk..
Mrs Huggan, July 2020
Comfortable and cosy cottage.. Well equipped.
Close to local attractions like Abbott Lodge ice cream.
Just off A66 near Penrith and to the Dales and Lake District.
Would recommend this as a place to stay.
Delightful cottage where the owners have taken great care to ensure guests are comfortable and made feel welcome in a homely environment.. Quiet yet accessible area with much to explore & enjoy.
Bakers Cottage is a very good place to stay very comfortable, in a lovely setting.. The only issue we had was the garden even though it was lovely wasn't secure for our small yorkie she had to be tied up all the time as she escaped through the fence.
I must say this didn't spoil our stay.
We would definitely recommend the cottage.
The cottage was well placed for easy access to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.. However, the bathroom was extremely small and the stairs are steep and the treads narrow. This could cause problems for elderly people or people with limited mobility but is not mentioned in your guide.
Very quiet peaceful cottage.. Great hospitality would certainly return.
This is a lovely cottage in a nice quiet area.. But with easy to access the lake district and cumbria.
The cottage has every think you would need in it,and the little extra touch were lovely.
We have always had good experiences with Sykes cottage but this one was by far the best.. The people who own this cottage are wonderful. Everything you would need was in the kitchen down to a full drawer of spices and a coffee maker wow!! The cottage was really really clean. Beautiful bed linen and towels. Molten Brown bath stuff again wow!! The enclosed garden was a big bonus. There are no negatives to this cottage everything is superb. I would like to live there.
Thanks for a fabulous holiday.
From 2 very happy adults and 4 legged friend.
A very cosy comfortable cottage. The kitchen well supplied with utensils, it was very clean and in a quiet location.
An excellent property in a great location and with friendly neighbours. The cottage was better than we expected and we could not have asked for anything more. We will be looking to stay again in the very near future and we have recommended this to family and friends. 110% perfect throughout!
Great little cottage in a quiet village that served as a great base for exploring the Lake District. Not a lot on offer in the village itself but the restaurant is great and very accommodating. The owner was really helpful and even came to drop off a highchair the day we arrived as well as posting our steriliser home after we had left it! I would definitely recommend this cottage to couples and small families wanting to visit the lakes.
We had a wonderful stay at Bakers Cottage, it was like home from home. The owner had thought of everything to welcome us on arrival. The cottage was immaculate, the only problem was the weather as we were on Amber alert for flooding but the owner couldn't do anything about that. I will definitely return and recommend Bakers Cottage to my friends and relatives.
The cottage could not be any better! The standard was excellent and attention to detail was second to none. Everything was thought of. The general area was quiet and quaint, and with the A66 M6 nearby it has great connections to all nearby attractions and locations.
My wife and I rented the cottage and found it a good location to explore the Eden Valley and the Lakes. The kitchen is well kitted out - the owner thought of everything. Furnishings and bedding are in excellent condition. There is a nice garden with table and 4 chairs. My reason for giving it a 4 star rather than 5 is that the cottage is on the small side. The bathroom is the size of a small en-suite and the bedroom with the double bed is small. Overall, good value.
