Property Description

Atlantic View is a modern, stone-clad property, with magnificent views across Cleggan Bay and out towards Inishbofin Island and the Atlantic Ocean.
It is built and maintained to the highest standards by the well-known couple, Johnny and Theresa King.
As you can see, it features a ground-floor terrace right on the water's edge, accessed through French windows from the open-plan dining and sitting room.
The property is situated right beside Cleggan Harbour, and is a minute or two's walk away from shop, bars, restaurants and entertainment - as well as to the ferry to Inishbofin, for those wishing to take a day-trip to the island, or to join Johnny on his modern sea-angling boat for a day's exciting fishing.

Accommodation:

The house is beautifully laid out, furnished and maintained, and even has its own sauna off the downstairs bathroom!

Downstairs, there is the spacious eating and sitting room, a lovely kitchen with informal eating area as well as the adjacent dining table for somewhat more formal eating; and French doors to the furnished terrace. There's also a large bathroom which includes a sauna.

Upstairs, there are three beautiful double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, another with its own balcony for enjoying the fabulous views. There's a further separate toilet upstairs, too.

The house has gas central heating throughout, and electricity paid by meter reading at the start and finish of your stay. Bed linen and towels incl. Other services include: cot/high chair as required; video; DVD/CD; microwave; washing machine; tumble-dryer; dishwasher; small garden with terrace, patio and furniture; parking; 'welcome' grocery pack provided. Though adjacent to the harbour, the house is set on a quiet small road, providing peace and a feeling of being away from it all.

Had a fabulous stay at this cottage. The standard was superb. Kitchen has everything. Johnny and Teresa were good hosts and across the lane if needed.

An excellent location to enjoy the country side of Ireland. We loved being close to town but also the ability to go for long walks without seeing anyone. One thing to note: this town is very small, do not expect to get groceries (very limited) or hit an ATM. But really, that only adds to the charm. Also, the local fisherman offer some great deals on seafood if you are looking to cook your own meals. Doesn’t get any fresher than that.

The west of Ireland is simply Heaven on earth. The cottage was in a perfect location - to just step out of the back door and find the Atlantic Ocean is amazing.
