Ash Cottage is a mid-terrace barn conversion in a countryside location near Newcastle Emlyn. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a double and a twin room. There is also a shower room and an open plan living area with an intimate kitchen, dining area and a comfy sitting area. Outside is a small enclosed patio garden and off road parking for one car with a visitor space. Ash Cottage is a delightful getaway for small groups looking to explore the fantastic diverse countryside and nearby beaches. Note: Property does not accept children under age of 12

The bustling market town of Newcastle Emlyn is set on the River Teifi and offers an array of shops, both unique local producers and larger chain stores, such as designer clothes, crafts and jewellery, antiques, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and a ruined castle, plus fishing permits are available nearby. Surrounding Newcastle Emlyn is beautiful countryside, whilst the rugged Cardiganshire coastline is just six miles away, where you have the opportunity to visit Cardigan Island Farm Park, wonderful sandy beaches, or take a boat trip to spot dolphins and seals at New Quay.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

This is a quiet little cottage set in the gardens of the owners property. The cottage is clean and extremely well stocked for all your kitchen needs. There wasn’t anything we needed, they’ve thought of everything! The beds are comfortable, towels provided and you even get a dressing gown each. The welcome pack is a lovely touch with a few essentials including bread and eggs. There’s a communal washing machine and dryer (washing pods included) and the use of a freezer. We even had dishwasher tablets, hand soaps, bin bags, tin foil, dish cloths and washing up liquid left for us. The hot tub is a little bit of luxury to relax in too. The cottage is ideally located about 10 minutes from town and approximately 20 from the nearest beach. There’s plenty to see and do, this part of Wales is beautiful. Les and Lesley are very friendly and clearly want to do their best to make sure you have a lovely stay. We had a quiet week here, felt happy with the level of cleanliness - especially during the current pandemic - and we enjoyed our time here so much we will be booking again.

Beautiful cottage so well equipped with every possible need.. Even a steamer which we prefer to use. Good quality bedding and towels. The welcome pack was so useful seeing you over till you can do a shop. Cottage so warm and comfortable. Every thing was just that bit more luxurious. Would go again.

The cottage was lovely and very well kept and we loved the hot tub.. Little things like washing machine and tumble drier were fantastic, and so was the dishwasher with enough dishwash tablets for the week!

Everything we could have wished for and more, A peaceful and quiet location, only 20-30 minute drive from the coast, Cardigan, New quay, Aberearon etc, some fantastic little beaches too.. Lots to do everyday and cottage was so wonderful we looked forward to going back there after a busy day, hot tub was fabulous. Everything is so clean and every detail and item thought of.

We had a lovely week staying at Ash Cottage, the owners were very friendly and helpful.. The hot tub was fantastic and just what we wanted at the end of a day walking, exploring the beaches. A garden to play with the kids was all that was missing, but the WiFi was good so that kept them happy! We found loads to do, and were blessed with excellent weather. Nearby Newcastle Emlyn is a great little town, plenty of eateries, a good antiques place and a small supermarket.

Fantastic cottage in beautiful setting.. We were so comfortable and had everything we needed. Hosts were excellent very friendly and helpful. The welcome hamper made us feel very special on arrival. We were met on our arrival at Ash cottage and were made to feel welcome right away.. Throughout the week long stay, because the close proximity of the cottage owner's home we were usually in daily contact with them and passed the time of day discussing various topics. The cottage was clean,tidy and very warm,the addition of the welcome pack was an extra touch to make you feel more welcome, the hot tub was also nice to relax in on return from our days out and about. The whole experience because of this made the holiday more like we were staying with friends instead of owners and guests. A perfect relaxing holiday.

Peaceful and tranquil sums up our weekend away and just what we needed.. The owners were great and left us in peace but we knew they were there if needed. Stayed here last week (mid feb) what a wonderful, clean, welcoming cottage. The owners Les & Lesley have literally thought of everything and if they haven’t they live in the farm house next door and are on hand should you need anything. Met both Les and Lesley they are fantastic hosts. We took our 5 month old puppy with us (would advise taking a cage with you for the dog at night time as it’s all open plan downstairs). Our pup is still in training! Some great pub’s and Resturant close by. Would recommend The Nags head approx 10 minute drive from the cottage, would advise booking as it’s the type of place to get very busy. Food was brilliant 2 adults + 2 children 3 courses for circa £90 with drinks. Facilities on site are great; laundry room, bike storage, car parking the list is endless like I said earlier the owners have thought of everything. Very clean and very tidy fantastic for a short break or for a week or two away. Hot tub is a great added bonus! We will be booking again as we visit family in the area several times a year. Thank you for a great stay.

The location and quietness surrounded by beautiful countryside, not too far from the beaches and the National Trust cliff walks Wales is a very much underrated holiday destination, but I think the public are coming to the conclusion that with its wonderful beaches, rocky coves, fantastic cliff walks, well maintained roads and cheaper rates for admission charges/tickets etc.. that Wales is the all round hot spot for couples and families alike.

Our cottage was beautifully presented, We were welcomed by the hosts on arrival, Les and Lesley are lovely people who made sure we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy our break.. There was a welcome pack waiting for us. This contained everything we needed to get us started and was a lovely thought. We booked Ash Cottage because we wanted a hot tub and this did not disappoint. The tub was great, clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend Sykes based on the experience we just had.
