This is a really lovely property - indeed really rather unique given the canal-side setting.. The cottage was very clean and had absolutely everything that we needed, including torches in the bedside cupboards for use at night! We would definitely consider returning to this property as the location was lovely, the owner was fantastically helpful and kind, and the welcome tray and cake were particularly good! We had many meals outside, prepared in the splendid kitchen, and used the cottage as a base for exploring the local area and into Wales.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming.. The cottage was amazing it was only 8 steps from the canal. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who likes to sit and watch boats go by. Two pubs really close with good menus. We will return next year for sure.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and well-equipped.. The front room is larger than it looks in the pictures and had comfortable seating for all five of us. We really enjoyed watching the canal boats passing right in front of the cottage. The owner was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. I would thoroughly recommend a break here.

6th Time we have been to Aqueduct Cottage : It's in a magical setting on the canal with the aqueduct at the bottom of the garden.. Excellent location for local walks and the train to Chester and beyond means a car is not essential . The owner Mrs Hulme is delightful always makes sure she is there to welcome you personally .The "welcome pack" is exceedingly generous "and usually lasts the ensuing weekend .

The cottage had everything that you could want and more .. . The Lemon Drizzle cake baked by the owner was lovely. However I feel that the bedrooms are too cramped less furniture would make it easier to get around the bed.

An excellent cottage with lots of extra welcoming touches and a very helpful friendly owner - even provided cake.. The only reason we would not book this cottage again is because we always look for different locations to visit each year.

The location was excellent, being right beside the Llangollen Canal and a few steps from the Chirk Aqueduct and tunnel. There were plenty of narrow boats to watch. The cottage was beautiful and very well equipped and the outside areas were very good with more than enough seating and a pleasant garden. There are many places to visit within half an hours drive away and plenty of walks to do. The owner of the property was very friendly. All in all a great holiday!

We loved the location of this cottage. The position next to the canal with narrow boats passing, only a few yards from the lovely aquaduct with viaduct behind, lovely hills and countryside to explore on our bikes and on foot. Chirk castle is a pleasant walk away and Chirk itself with quirky shops, tea shops and restaurants a short walk away. Chirk station is very close and convenient for Chester, Shrewsbury, and Birmingham by road and rail. The owner was very welcoming. We had a lovely peaceful holiday and would be back at half term if it weren't already booked.
