Acorn Cottage is in a delightful setting overlooking fields with plenty of privacy.. It is larger than it appears in the photos. The garden is dog proof which is a real bonus and they enjoyed walks in the fields. The Wi-fi was intermittent whilst we were there, probably due to the weather. The cottage is lovely and warm, plenty of hot water too. The kitchen is nicely equipped with the added bonus of a dishwasher. The host was welcoming and friendly, and would have been easy to contact had we needed to. It is ideal for visiting Longleat Safari Park where we spent a couple of days and also Glastonbury. We were a party of 4 adults and had plenty of room, the conservatory is particularly nice for enjoying a cup of coffee in the sunshine. If we are back in the area we would certainly love to stay again.

A little on the shabby side but nonetheless cozy..

The owner was lovely and helpful.. The house was so well equipped and clean and tidy. The only bad thing was the chairs in the sitting room was not comfortable but they have a t.v in the bedroom and the bed was so large and comfortable. The owner has now made the garden inclosed s ideal if you have a dog like we do. I will be booking this cottage again and would recommend it to everyone. A very enjoyable holiday with plenty of attractions near by.

The scenery from the cottage is amazing.. The cottage lies in a very quiet, secluded area what gave us a lot of privacy. The owner of the cottage, David, is very friendly and he could give us some suggestions for trips. Our dog has really enjoyed the daily walks near Alfred's tower where you have endless footpaths. Our stay was 1 big succes and we'd love to come back!

Adequate accommodation, although advertised as being for four, but only really big enough for two.. The pub was shut all the time we were there and no shop within a mile. Nearest shop in Bruton. Ideal base for exploring the area. Fabulous views and very quiet. TV ridiculously small and lounge furniture not very comfortable. Garden not enclosed, there is a field out the back of the property the owner preferred dogs to only go round the edge of the field so if the dogs wanted to be in the garden, one of us had to be,to stop them disappearing into the long grass. Conservatory had wicker furniture which was not user friendly and the owner had put a heat deflector on the ceiling secured with masking tape and it was hanging off by the end of the week.

The only negative was the size of the television.. A laptop size television is not on in this day and age and the bedroom tv was even smaller.

Lovely welcome from the cottage owner.. The location is quiet and secluded. It is a great area if you like walking and if you have a dog. Near to several places to visit including National Trust properties. The cottage contained all the things you need to self cater and had good quality linen and towels etc . You do not always get large bath sheets in a holiday rental! Would not hesitate to book here again.

I have stayed in quite a few cottages using yours service but I must say Acorn cottage is the best equipped of all the ones I have rented.. Its well equipped but in addition the provision of all the basic essential supplies makes a stay much easier for some one like me who is visiting from abroad and who doesn't arrive with washing powder; rubbish bags etc. Added to the sheer convenience, the location is superb and the bed very comfortable so I shall certainly be trying to book Acorn Cottage again on future visits.
