We stayed in lake view 8 at stone rush valley.. Firstly, if you simply type in the postcode in Sat nav, it will take you to a wrong place. So advice is to watch out for signs that show stone rush valley. It wasn't actually clear during the booking process that lake view 8 is part of stone rush valley so this could be made clearer on the website.
Once arrived, the reception was welcoming but not much info was given. Most of the info is within the folder in the lodge. The lodge itself was amazing, everything was near brand new and clean. The grounds it was situated in was picturesque and very quiet.
The only reason I didn't give full marks was due to tiny areas where it could be improved. For the amount of money, it would be good to have more than a single toilet roll for each toilet and one single bin bag. A larger drying rack could help as it meant we could only wash limited amount of stuff every wash due to the rain so we couldn't improvise with the patio chairs/table etc.
The biggest issue was probably the main bedrooms bed. It was a bit lumpy and can feel the springs. It wasn't the worse bed I've slept on but was a bit uncomfortable.
The other main issue was the fact that there were no mobile reception for three different networks and therefore the contact details for help and maintenance issue (which we had) was very difficult to get hold of. Luckily one number was a mobile and ended up whatsapping a guy which seemed unprofessional. A landline or some concierge landline would be very useful.
The final criticism is the restaurant, the food itself was fine but the menu in the welcome pack was out of date and showed lovely flavour ice creams but was informed during the meal that there's no ice cream and other things were also missing which we were looking forward to.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, the grounds were lovely, the hot tub was nice and private. The lodge and it's facilities were good and would definitely recommend.
