Resting alongside the coast, it makes a fantastic base for a seaside escape, with ample opportunities for watersports being available all-year-round. Its charming museum/art gallery offers its own coffee shop, as well as there being shops, pubs and restaurants at the town's centre too. The city of Canterbury is within easy reach where you can see its imposing 6th century cathedral, as well as Herne Bay being well-worth exploring.
