Stayed here for week and the cottage was ot upto scratch on the cleanliness front, cobwebs in every room , mold in bathrooms...dirty grouting in between tiles ...broken glass under the sofa...dirty extractor fan...cracked and dirty floor tiles...not what I would expect when paying 750 for a week...check in was 5pm and checkout at 10am so 7 hours is ample to clean and sort out the property for the next guests!
Nice area and lovely stream to front of cottage.
Excellent location and cottage.. This was our fourth visit and can’t wait to return.
We had problems with the broadband connection, but the owner was contacted and he was very supportive and communicated well to achieve a resolution..

Had a lovely Christmas break in this beautiful cottage - spotlessly clean, such comfortable beds, Christmas tree and nearby pub.. What more could you want!
Amazing cottage in a great location
The double bed was a delight to sleep in as it was so comfy.. The house was well equipped and delighted our kids that it was next to a stream. Good running /walking routes from the house and good outside dining. Well resourced with maps, books and games.
Really enjoyed our stay and the cottage.. Good sized bedrooms , comfy beds , ensuite and bathroom were great, bright clean and again a good size.
Kitchen really well equipped making cooking any meal easy. Cupboards full of cups, mugs, plates more than enough for the amount of people the cottage can hold. Nice touch was a store of essential everyday items like, salt, pepper, sugar, oils, stock , foil, cling film, then dishwsher tablets, wahing up liquid.
Basically the bag packed with things I could not do without were supplied!
Really quet location in a village with 2 pubs, a shop and great ealks and places to visit. The outside spaces bith front and rear would be great in summer. We will book again.
Parking whilst not straight forward was never a problem we got 2 cars parked with 50-75 yards every time we returned .
One of our best cottage holiday stays
House comfy and suited our needs.. Great location.
Plenty space and all necessities were provided.
Felt extra care in cleaning should be taken. Under furniture and under cushions especially.
Outside areas needed a bit of care and attention. Both front and rear gardens required weeding, tidying and better garden furniture could be provided.
Lovely place to stay..
Cosy cottage with well equipped kitchen.. Excellent location for beach and hill walks.
Lovely roomy, yet cosy, cottage in a friendly village
The description of the facilities on your website say "there is no microwave at this property".. I contacted your customer services to check if this was correct. They replied that they were sorry but that was correct. No Microwave. With it being Christmas and cooking the Christmas meal and Boxing Day meal, we decided to buy a small microwave. Imagine our frustration after bringing the microwave in the car, to find Yes there was a microwave in the kitchen which was excellent. I was quite annoyed with regard to this error on your listing and your customer services. Please amend your details. I agree with previous reviews the parking is a problem, with double yellow lines on both sides of the road. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at Low Row. One other minor issue I have never been asked to strip all Beds before vacation, not a problem but I thought it was a little unusual. The property was very clean, and tidy with plenty of amenities. Super.
As we were aware that there was no parking on the property, The limited parking .... As we were aware that there was no parking on the property, The limited parking spaces available near the cottage made this a problem, especially at the weekend
Lovely presented cottage in a great location.. Loved the bed mattress and duvets!!! Friendly local village with welcoming pubs with good atmosphere for famolies
Fantastic cottage.. Highly recommend it for anyone, especially families.
First time weve usde sykes holiday cottages but we will be using you again because it is one of the nicest cottages weve stayed in .. Very relaxing and nice and clean and good value for money.
First class cottage with high quality furniture and fittings.
A lovely cottage in an excellent location. A real home from home.
I have just enjoyed a weekend in this accommodation with 3 generations of my family and can honestly say we were all astonished by the attention to detail. One of the main reasons we chose this property was because we have a dog and wanted to be able to open the doors and know he was safely contained. There were lots of lovely surprises in every room from the lovely artwork, ornaments and quality of crockery at our disposal. The owners seem to have considered every potential need. In addition to the usual provision of all kitchen requirements we found ice packs and cool bag for picnics, nappy bags, poo bags....All the bags!!! Children's books and games, lots of DVDS, attractive bedding and gorgeous rose scented hand wash at every sink. Not a bit of black grout in sight and the place was spotless. It has been noted that there is no microwave but with a five burner gas hob and fan assisted oven we didn't really want one. There was an electric coffee grinder and percolator though. The TV is perhaps smaller than most people have at home but its perfectly adequate and we could all see the Marigold Hotel DVD (provided) The 'Snug', which is, in fact, a second full size sitting room would benefit from a second TV especially if a family were there with children or teenagers. We loved the location and property and would definitely return.
We have just returned from a weekend in this cottage. I must say it is lovely with so much attention to detail. We have 5 kids ranging from 5 to 15 and this cottage catered for our needs more than adequately. The garden was contained at the front and back, so perfect for letting our dog out without worrying she was going to run off. There is all you need for a comfy stay here, and the location is very quiet. There was lego and games for the kids. The cottage was lovely and warm and both bathrooms are beautiful! All the mattresses on the beds were very comfy and of good quality. I would say it is a 45 minute trek if the central lakes are your main destination (Ambleside/Grasmere/Hawkshead), but well worth it. I would mirror the other review, that having made the effort of a surround sound system and bluray dvd player, that the the tv was perhaps just a little bigger. The lack of microwave didn't bother us. Washer and dryer were very useful.
We stayed in this property for 5 night from December 22nd staying over Xmas .
Property was decorated lovely all very clean and new the only downside we had was its states to sleep 8 I personally would say sleeps 6 bunk beds are not ideal for adults also there was no microwave to me this is an essential piece of equipment especially for 8 people . Would have liked a larger tv also maybe a small one in the snug not everyone wants to watch the same things.
I would recommend this cottage .
A fantastic cottage - great location and good food served at the pub
at the end of the road. We would love to live there.
The interior was beautiful and there was everything we needed in the property. We felt quite at home!
Property well suited to a large party. Very cosy and homely. Lovely location. Overall a great experience.
