Lovely cottage, refurbished to a high standard and very well equipped.. When you go away you expect the place to stay to be at least as nice as the place you live in. This felt very homely.

Really well situated for the Sandstone Trail but as others have said situated between two very busy roads so very noisy from about 5.30am to about 11pm. Luckily on two of us as if we had been a full complement(cottage sleeps 6)then l'm not sure where two people would sit as only 2x2 seater sofas in the sitting room. Worse was to come, only 3 wine glasses, 4 dinner plates and 4 breakfast plates, maybe an inventory is needed. The worst part though was the bathroom, although the bath, loo and washbasin were really clean the shower left a lot to be desired and maybe step inside and shut the doors so as to clean everywhere. Grout needed some work too. The truly worst part though was the loo brush, really boke promoting, as the whole thing was broken anyway maybe throw it away and start afresh. Have stayed in a few Sykes cottages and found them to be excellent so this one really surprised me.

Really pretty cottage with a great garden for kids to play in.. Well equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking. Barbecue looked a bit tired so didn't use it could probably do with a new one. Very well situated to Chester with a park and ride close bye and lovely restaurants nearby, best we visited was pesto at cabbage hall superb!! Had great weather when we were there so drove to a little lake for a swim - wonderful. Great holiday and will definately return to Chester area... Thank you

The accomodation was spot for us as we had 2 young girls (18-21 months) and a 7 year old and the garden was perfect.. There was plenty room for them run around and for us to sit and socialize. House was just what we were looking for and peaceful enough. We will definitely stay this cottage again.

The cottage was equipped really well.. It was more modern than we anticipated. Would have appreciated more toilet rolls.

This was a last minute booking after an owner canceled a booking, so we were rushed to find a place for our last three weeks in the UK.. The Sykes lady on the phone was very patient and helpful.

Lovely cottage, but when packing do remember to pack and bring your own Logs .. I've stayed in many cottages with a log fire, but this is the first one where logs are not supplied. Unnecessary in my opinion. Nice cottage though.

The cottage was really spacious and clean, the garden was large and our granddaughter enjoyed playing in the garden.. Views and walks were incredible just like being at home. We were in Chester for a family wedding which was great and would visit again however, the adults were unable to sleep due to the extreme noise of the traffic. It was fast and ongoing all night no matter which room you were sleeping in. This really spoilt our holiday as we were all so tired.. On the day of our departure the cleaners turned up at 9am on the doorstep it all felt really rushed we were packed and out by 9.25am so it was not like we were late and putting them behind. Other than no sleep we enjoyed our stay. Mrs Upton
