We had a brilliant break at Hoden View.. It is a lovely house with access to a lovely garden (fully enclosed) and a short distance from a shop and a pub. Hope to be back in the future.

The accommodation was finished to an extremely high standard.. The location was absolutely perfect for a enjoyable relaxing holiday. A field at the front of the property for my dogs to run around in and to do their business. This was my first time with Skyes Cottages which I can honestly say exceeded all of my expectations. I had such a relaxing holiday, which was very much needed. I would definitely be recommending Skyes Cottages and definitely Hoden Field Cottage to all my friends and family. Definitely 11/10

We found the cottage to be well finished and beautifully furnished ,however it was NOT designed for 4 adults The main bedroom was very large but the twin bedded room was cramped ,with a little more room it could have had a bedside table and a small cabinet for makeup etc,an extra 30cm would have made all the difference.. As this is not possible now it might be worth considering 2ft6in beds. Also the seating in the lounge area is not adequate for 4 adults the addition of another chair would Improve this.

The house itself was well equipped and the owners were friendly.. When you could neither open nor close the outside doors without the use of force, they immediately tried to solve the problem. They couldn‘t. They told us, it must be because of the extreme weather- conditions. The next problem was the heat in the house. You simply could not air the house, because the only window to provide a stream of air was fixed and therefore not to open. In our son‘s room was boiling heat. The large bedroom was slightly better because of the two windows. Also you could not sit outside because there was no sunshade. The neighbour- house was better, because they had the shadow of large trees in the late afternoon. Two times the wifi broke down but worked again a couple of hours later. A minor problem was that the tub- water wasn‘t cold but mostly hot because of the extreme outside heat. The dinner- table is too big for the place. A maximum of two people can sit there. Not four. Since we stayed there for two weeks we appreciated that on the first friday our beds were made and the floor hovered. The owner charged no extra- fee for that. As a summary we would rather not choose the house again even though it was rather cheap.

Nice 'cottage'; we like contemporary decor.. Glad we picked it and enjoyed the holiday. A few comments however.... They welcome dogs, which is fine for dog lovers, which we are not. It comprises of two 'cottages' and our neighbours unfortunatley had a barking dog. Not nice for us. The second bedroom is cramped, which we could obviously see from the photos and it really is very cramped with only inches between beds leading to bruised toes/shin getting in and out. Beds have very soft mattresses. Ended up with a back-ache. It would be nice to see bath mat and/or hand rails in the shower as it can get slippery.

Perfect weekend away at Hoden View.. Location was fantastic and very private. Brilliant with the enclosed gardens for the dogs to run around in and for us to enjoy the beautiful weather. The owners had left us some homemade biscuits, milk and a chilled bottle of prosecco which was a lovely touch. Would definitely return.

Thank you for a lovely break in this super cottage in quiet and picturesque surroundings.. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the dog really enjoyed all the walks straight from the door .
