One look at the guest book shows our delight at finding this cottage is shared by many others.. It is a few minutes’ walk to the town centre and the cottage’s position gives lovely views from the back garden to Hoad Hill and the Sir John Barrow monument as well as over town cottages and houses below. The cottage itself is a stylish and well thought out conversion, where - thank you - things are easy to find and to use. It is light (lovely kitchen), warm and comfortable, and having Vicki next door with the keys or to answer questions is a bonus. Ulverston is great, a welcoming small town with individual shops, and we particularly like Gillams and The Mad Hatter cafes as well as The Northern Line gift shop. There are plenty of walks within the town, or to the coastline of Morecombe Bay along the canal, plus further afield along the Cumbrian Way. Car users are spoiled for choice - to the Dock Museum in Barrow, or up to the lakeside of Windermere and further afield.
