The holiday was better than expected.. The scenery was lovely.and the fishing was brilliant.two course lakes.and three trout lakes.unfortunately we only discovered the forest walks on the last night.would have liked to explore them more.as there is supposed to be crossbills and nightjars there. The accommodation was perfect.and the cafe was handy.

WOW!!! what a place. It was quite superb. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, loads of fresh clean towels, and what views looking out over the lakes and countryside. I am a landscape gardener and know how difficult it is to maintain this kind of appearance. The whole team work really hard and you can feel how important it is to them all. To be honest, we ate a fantastic breakfast in the cafe each morning and it set us up for a day of fishing. Am going back. We only have three words to say; FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! Thank you Simon & Team!

What a lovely place. The cottage is delightful, pretty, clean cosy & WARM. Lovely views over countryside and lakes. My husband had a great time fishing. The cafe onsite is a great advantage, a good selection of food, and home made cakes are delicious. Do try the breakfast, very good indeed. Good produce, v well cooked. The cappucino would take some beating too, lovely to have in the afternoons with a piece of Zoes home made cake whilst sitting outside enjoying the surroundings. Staff are nice too, relaxed and pleasant. All in all a place we would highly recommend . Susan

The cottage was in a very special place with the fishing on the door step.. There are a few issues in the cottage that require looking at 1 no dressing table and mirror in bed rooms 2 shower not very good. Otherwise the place was perfect.and the people on the ground running the show were very friendly and very helpful.

Lovely location, very relaxing place. Nice cottage and homely. We would recommend this holiday to anyone who likes peace and quiet, and a friendly atmosphere. The cafe was also a welcome place to go sometimes when not wanting to cook. In all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Fishermen would love this place as you can fish right on your doorstep.

The scenery is outstanding and encourages you to relax and unwind. I got 'hooked' on fly fishing whilst we we there (no pun intended) and will definitely be returning very soon. We made new friends whilst we were there and I hope we will catch up with them again next time.

Simon could not have been more helpful. and his home-made scones are worth a try. There is no wireless reception within 2 miles - some might say a good thing :-)

A little bit of wok to finish off the property but did not detract from our break. The property is compact but well designed & laid out in a perfect setting. We all enjoyed our stay. Could have stayed for longer regret not trying hand at fishing - maybe next time. Many thanks to Simon & his family for their hospitality and help. The Jarvey family
