We had a really lovely week in Porthmadoc staying at Harbourside.. As others have said the location cannot be bettered, easy drive to lots of castles, beaches and mountains, short walk to town and the station and the harbour right outside the door. The children spent 3 nights crabbing off the harbour wall, with great success. Two nice places to eat within 50m and plentiful parking around and about. You can just about see the trains from the living room window! The apartment is comfortable and very clean. Lovely bedding and fluffy towels. The children loved the double bunk bed. Heating and hot water very efficient and easy to use and adjust (useful when the temperature this week went from 8 to 23 degrees!) It's a very old place so the windows rattle and the floorboards squeak which is all part of the charm but might be drafty for a winter break. The bathroom and kitchen are modern and clean. There might not be a full oven, but there were plenty of pots and pans, a slow cooker and a blender. It's not difficult to feed a family of four for a week with what was there. We enjoyed staying there and would definitely stay again.

Just spent a great week here for the Easter holidays. Its a brilliant location, ideal for castles, beaches and mountains. It's a very short walk to the town, the steam trains and the harbour are right outside the door. The apartment is clean and comfortable, nice linen and fluffy towels. The Kitchen is small but functional, bathroom is moderm and beautifully finished. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again.

Great location for Porthmadog and all the surrounding area has to offer.. We spent a week at Harbourside mid August and enjoyed our time there, very comfortable and managed to park close every day. Nice places to eat on the same road (Yr Hen Becws in particular) and lovely view from the lounge. The only down side for us was that the street outside is busy up till about 9.30pm/10pm with cars and people walking up from the quay, our little one struggled to fall asleep a couple of nights as people talking/laughing while walking past kept her awake. The house is grade 2 listed so windows are old single pane and therefore don’t offer the same soundproofing as double glazing would. For adults or families with children who go to bed a little later this place is really good as it’s so conveniently located.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The cottage was beautiful, clean and tidy. We loved it. It was in a perfect location to everything we wanted to do - beach, town. The views from our living room was beautiful. We would highly recommend this place and we would without a doubt book this property again for future holiday.

We really enjoyed our holiday.. Portmadog is a friendly and down to earth town with lots of brilliant independent shops, close to the steam train, mountains, beach, woodlands and castles like Harlech....there is so much to do near by. We used the characterful local launderette once. The property was warm (very cold weather the week we were there!), clean and comfortable enough, we liked the underfloor heating in bath room and our child loved sleeping in a bunk bed. We would consider staying again.

The apartment was in an excellent location, right on the harbour, 5 minutes walk to the steam train railway, and 10 minutes drive to the village of Portmeirion. The location of this apartment really is a big plus, and the apartment itself has everything you need.

We had an excellent three night stay here. The apartment is really well sited right on the harbour front and very close to the town and Ffestiniog railway. It has recently been refurbished and the facilities looked new. The kitchen was well appointed and the heating worked instantly, including underfloor in the shower room. The lounge is spacious although on the top floor. We found free parking ok close by although this was in October.
