Wonderful cottage- we’ve been there several times before when our daughters were younger.. We came back after a nine year break, complete with grown -up daughters and hangers-on. Better than we all remembered it and we had a fantastic holiday. The lady who looks after the cottage was very helpful (I had to phone her to fid the cutlery! It’s in a drawer within a drawer below the hob!) and keeps the place spectacularly clean and tidy. Cream tea, milk and butter all in the fridge waiting for us. We are still debating whether Sting did actually stay there back in the ‘90s!!! (See previous visitors books!) jury still out....!

Loved harbour lights.. Outstanding views. Property was well equipped and comfortable. Lovely décor. Parking: although plenty of space at back of property could be tricky for some people. Although lane down from property is narrow we did not encounter any problems. There is also one space that could be used on front. Loved the wood burner in middle of room although the property was well heated if you didn't want to use the log burner. Pipes are being laid on the road just as we left which could be a nuisance for coming guests. Many of the shops restaurants are closed for season in Mousehole but the little post office/shop is open and was handy for forgotten bits and bobs and within easy walking distance as is the Ships Inn which serves good pub food. Would recommend Geevor tin mine on a guided tour as we found that very interesting. Also a trip to Falmouth was good. Some exceptional coast line around that part of Cornwall and Lands End for walking.

The house was very comfortable, we sat on the balcony during the day watching the fishing boats drift bye, we observed two seals on the island basking in the sun.. The stars at night was so bright and we even saw a couple of shooting stars. The sun rise was spectacular and the skyline at times just blended with the sea, Very restful holiday, we will be back.

Coat hooks in the hall or laundry room would be good.. Beautiful house, nice new kitchen, love the open plan layout. We all felt so relaxed. Tasteful and simple furnishings, comfy beds. Daffodils and scones to welcome us! Thank you.

Harbour Lights is a superb property, spendidly situated.. We have rented it more than a dozen times in the last 20 years, so this is a review of the property rather than Sykes who have only just taken it over. However, the service we received was good.

We discovered Harbour Lights in 2011 and have been coming from California every year since for extended stays.. We hope to return for many more years because we enjoy it so much. Situated in the charming fishing village of Mousehole, it has all the ingredients for a great holiday. All the rooms are good size, light and airy with windows and sliding doors providing ever changing views of the sea, Saint Michael's Mount, the Lizard and the hardy fisherman in their boats who brave all weathers. The house and the garden are well maintained. The large balcony/deck provides a fun place to eat outside and further enjoy the views. Parking, which is a much valued commodity in Mousehole, can accomodate 3 cars. The Mousehole Harbour, first class restaurants, cafes and a local shop/Post Office are within a short walk. Our favorite activity is to walk along the beaches and cliffs in the area, but there are a multitude of other family activities to be enjoyed.

We loved Harbour Lights, our only criticism would be the bedding, we felt for a higher end property the bedding should have been feather and down and the quality of the sheets/covers/mattress better quality..
