Within the town you will find wide variety of attractions on offer, including a golden sandy beach, which has excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports and from the harbour you can take regular fishing trips. Close by is the famous Chesil Beach, which provides access to the rugged “Isle” of Portland or take a journey along the coastal road and visit Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens.

We stayed at this well appointed apartment in Weymouth harbour at the beginning of September. Unfortunately, because of it’s location next to bars and restaurants it’s very noisy throughout the day, and more importantly for our holiday throughout the night. A combination rowdy patrons, booming extractor fans and skips being filled and emptied of bottles all night and into the early hours, meant that we had little sleep for the week that we were there. Sykes Cottages with whom we booked , don’t seem inclined to amend their property description to provide more accurate information for guests and of more concern have not yet published my review.

The apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped and located right next to the harbour and beach perfect for our week stay in Weymouth. The balcony feels very private being set back from the buildings below makes it feel very spacious. There is a full-size fridge/freezer, and the kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, mixing bowls for preparing any meals and the beds are really very comfortable. There is a 30Mbps PlusNet internet connection and smart TV for rainy days should you have any and even though it isn’t massive the view of the harbour makes it feel massive. Perfect size for a family of four. If I had any feedback it would have been nice to have a broom to help tidy up after cooking dinner.
