Pencader is a small village in the Welsh county of Carmarthenshire, just south-east of Llandysul and south-west of Llanybydder. It is a quiet village set in a west Wales valley with little more than 500 houses a shop, a fine fish and chip shop and two pubs. It hosts the site of an old castle, which is now a grassy Motte. The views were lovely and Naomi was helpful and informative.. She has 3 dogs and a horse so you need to like animals. Really nice dogs and she shuts them away if you don’t want them around. We would stay there again.

A fantastic getaway.. The cottage is ideally located so you are never faraway from places to visit and things to do but the cottage it's self is in a quiet village enabling you to really relax. Our host Naomi was fantastic pointing out local walks for us and our dog, as well as just truly making us feel welcome and at home. There are many sites and places to visit in the surrounding area and plenty of dog friendly restaurants! We would thoroughly recommend a visit and will be definitely be coming back ourselves in the future!

We had such a lovely time and were made to feel so welcome by our host, thank you.. The cottage is cosy and perfect for a couple's break away. Offering everything from a comfy mattress and sheets, really hot and powerful shower (bonus points!), warm living area with wood burner, well equipped kitchen -we cooked breakfast and evening meal every day and ate out at lunchtime, and an airy conservatory with dining table in which to eat. We watched a bit of TV and used the TV to listen to the radio. It's a good central location from which to explore Wales during the day, driving out to different coastal towns, walks and national trust places.

Really nice, lovely owner, perfect little bargain cottage..

We stayed in the Gwynfryn Cottage owned by the Gwynfryn B&B owners. We found it as pictured and it was nice to have comfy chairs. Best part is the terrace which is on the second floor with the bedrooms. Sitting out there you can see the castle, castle walls and see. It is right next to one of the gates to the castle wall walk. It is uphill all the way from the station which is what gives you lovely views. I would hate to drive a car there and have to park but as we came by train, it wasn't an issue. The main bedroom has a double bed. The 2nd has a bunk bed and is very small. You also go through the second bedroom to get to the terrace. It is good for a family or for two people perhaps not so good for two couples.

Everything had a relaxed feeling and a real countryside feeling, with the chickens, horses and the sheep. The wood burner gave the cottage a nice homely feel and it was more or less central to everywhere. Having two children with us we maybe thought that the evenings would be a little boring for them but it was quite the opposite; the host was fantastic with them, feeding the chickens, gathering eggs, and feeding the cats and the horses. This was new to the girls and they loved every moment doing it.

The Cottage was cosy and well equipped and well placed for exploring Pembrokeshire. We would definitely recommend this holiday home especially for dog owners who wish to take their pet. We had a wonderful week there.

The accommodation was extremely nice and we had everything we needed. The log fire was probably our favourite thing. My girlfriend and I both felt as relaxed as the atmosphere was. Would hugely recommend this place.
