Our host was extremely helpful and friendly.. She phoned the day before arrival just to check whether there was anything we might need help with. The cottage was spotless and it felt very Covid safe.

Beautiful and perfectly located cottage with all the required facilities.. Extremely clean and well kept with obvious attention to detail, we were even greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. The cottage owners were very helpful and attentive when ensuring our stay was relaxing and comfortable. This cottage is also perfect if you bring your dog with endless areas to walk right from the door. Would highly recommend this cottage in Ingleton to everyone!

Lovely, cosy cottage, near to shops, pubs and beautiful country walks.. Highly recommended as a base for local visits and travelling out to see the Yorkshire towns and tourist attractions. Had a lovely weeks stay, would love to go back in the summer time, as we stayed in January.

Had an excellent holiday in this very comfy cottage.. No complaints whatsoever - I will definitely be back. Ingleton is a great base for touring the Dales, the Lakes and the coast and has some really great shops and an antiques centre. There are also loads of good walks close by.

Greta cottage was beautifully presented and a lovely welcome pack was much appreciated.. The location was excellent with three pubs within walking distance all serving food and dog friendly. The Ingleton waterfalls were just across the road so no need to take the car and they were well worth a visit. The cottage was a great base to explore the dales from and a quiet, peaceful location.

Lovely cottage in a charming village very quiet and peaceful.. It is well equiped with all mod cons ,the double bed just what you need after long day of walking very comfortable, excellent shower. It has a log burner which was nice for this time of the year , the owner leaves enought wood for approx 2hrs burning but with instructions on where to purchase wood locally. Parking was ok but i can imagine during peak periods of the year you might have to be flexible. We will be returning some point soon recommended.

Fantastic cottage in a quiet spot, but only minutes from all amenities.. Three pubs, pottery, and an excellent CO OP all minutes away, with the waterfalls also close by. The cottage is immaculate, very well equipped, and cosy and warm. You could not wish for more, and we recommend wholeheartedly. Tom and Clare Berry.

What a fab, cosy little cottage in a great location.. Very clean and welcoming. Bottle of Prosecco on arrival to celebrate the New Year was a lovely touch. Home from home, everything you could want. What a great find. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. We will return for a second visit. Thanks again

The peace and quiet and the lovely cottage .. We had a lovely holiday. The only thing we couldn’t find in cupboard was a measuring jug when we were cooking .

The location of the cottage could hardly have been better - 2 minutes from the village shops and 2 hours from the summit of Ingleborough, both involving very steep climbs ! We were lucky with the weather in that it only rained briefly on two days and there was plenty of Autumn sunshine, but that meant cool evenings and we would have appreciated rather more generous timings on the central heating. However, we did make use of the wood-burner to compensate. Overall, the holiday was very enjoyable with lots to do - we must have walked well over 25 miles in the week - and a lovely big bath with plenty of hot water when we got back from a long walk !

Excellent cottage, nicely decorated & clean with central heating.. A bottle of wine even cooling in the fridge. Ingleton village has varied shops, pubs to suit your needs for the holiday in the Yorkshire Dales national park area. Hope to do a return visit soon. An great point to tour the Dales from.

Our stay at Greta Cottage last Christmas (2017) was lovely and peaceful.. Janine the owner was nice and friendly and very welcoming. She was easy going with our dog Jack (12 year old staffy) too which made us very happy. The village was lovely as was the local people. We will definitely be back

The cottage was lovely, bed very comfortable, did not want to get out of it, the cottage is warm and cosy, the shower and bath were excellent, fab village, plenty of shops, pubs, and places to eat.. Our trips to the White cave was amazing, and the waterfall trails, however, please note you will be charged for these visits, The only slight downfall if I have to say, is that the cottage is under a via duct, hence you do not get much sun shine as it is in the shade, this did not spoil anything for us, as we went for the walking and a fab relaxed week had. pub only 3 mins away, and walked up to the gardens in the village to sit and watch the world go by. There is a lovely river across the road and it was nice to hear the trickle of the water if you had the windows opened.

Lovely little cottage, extremely clean and comfortable.. Although not a problem to us, parking could be an issue as very limited.

What a brilliant little cottage. Charming, cosy and spotlessly clean. The owner, Janine, made a real effort to welcome us: jug of milk in the fridge, bottle of wine on the side and a firelighter for the log burner. Parking was no problem, and the village centre was a only 3 or 4 minutes' walk away (Co-Op, pizza place, Fish & Chips, tea-room, outdoor shop etc.). Really couldn't ask for more. We've stayed in countless self catering lets over the years and this ranks in the top 3. Thank you Janine, it made for a great holiday!

The Cottage was beautiful, fully equipped, in a perfect location, with the viaduct above and river opposite the cottage, and was a great location for The Lakes and Yorkshire Dales etc.. We visited many places. We are lovers of steam, so went to visit some heritage railways. We went for a ride on the Emsby and Bolton Abbey Railway and North Yorkshire Moors Railway to Goathland, Two brilliant trips. The steam gondola on Coniston Water, a lovely trip and so beautiful. Had a look too, at the Little House at Ambleside. Skipton for the canals, if you like boat trips, we did two. I loved the old traditional canal boat. Haworth is a must, the village is very steep, but well worth it. While there, go to see The Cabinet of Curiosities, excellent!. Fantastic shop. The Bronte Parsonage, with chickens running about with their chicks, in the churchyard. Many other sights to see, in surrounding areas, including Ribblehead Viaduct, which has 24 arches, a perfect place for walkers. Kirkstone Pass, near Ambleside and the Lakes. its the highest pass, open to traffic. Very beautiful scenery and very high with the inn, at the top. Thorton le Dale near Pickering is one of the most prettiest villages and is well worth a look at. Plus as, there are many other places we visited, were. All in all the most perfect holiday.

Ingleton is hilly, OK once up in village shop area.. Cottage very good but a little cold in the evening. I guess if the log burner is going it's warmer. The three pubs in direct area all serve good pub grub.

Such a wonderful cottage, everthing you could need for a weeks comfortable stay. Very modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Idealy located for all amenities. Walking distance to numerous pubs, shops and cafe's. Well placed for the three peaks and countless other walks too! Definitely recommend if you want a fulfilling countryside holiday.

The simplicity of booking, receiving instructions & directions was a good start to our holiday.. The cottage was better than we expected, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable & very welcoming. Little touches like the bottle of wine on arrival, the instruction/guide to the cottage & surroundings file was a great help. One to one communication with the person who looked after the cottage was very reassuring. The location was perfect, the rear patio area was a nice bonus & the overall feel of the cottage & village was one of relaxed calm & peacefulness. Needless to say the surrounding countryside was superb for the long walks we did, but would also be suitable for easier, gentle, scenic strolls.

April 2017
A great little cottage and we loved Ingleton.. The owner was particularly friendly, and the cottage was really equipped with things like washing up liquid, dog poo-bags and towels, coal for the fire and quite a few food items such as tea bags, cooking oil, salt and pepper - which I am sure owners are not obliged to do, but make the stay that little bit special. The only slight negative about the location was it was a steep climb to the village, which my husband could not cope with, so we had to use the car more than we would have normally.

Just spent a week in Greta cottage. It is located perfectly. Next to all the local amenities but also on a quiet street over looking the river. The cottage itself has everything you need and is decorated to a good standard. There is no wifi and no phone reception. This is not necessarily bad if you want a week away from it all but makes it difficult contacting family. All in all a perfect cottage for a couple and is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Greta Cottage was beautiful and exactly as described. The setting is stunning and the sound of the river is so peaceful. The village has everything you would expect (and more). The cottage was ideal for a relaxing away from it all break while the location was central for walks and exploring the area. We are looking forward to returning again.
