We have had cottage holidays for over ten years and Goslings is our favourite cottage by far. The location is very quiet with no light pollution and the beds are extremely comfy. I had the best week of sleep I had in years. The cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped, we had everything we could possibly think of. The owners are lovely and friendly, we enjoyed chatting with them. The garden with bird feeders is a real treat, it was mesmerising to watch the birds from the sofa. We had incredible stay and will definitely come back at some point. Thank you!

What an absolutely gorgeous cottage. We loved how bright, airy and cosy it was. Everything you need is there and the owners were just lovely. Welcoming and on hand if you need anything (which we didn’t, they’ve thought of everything) but not overbearing. Lovely little garden with seating to enjoy the peace and tranquility and to watch the abundance of birds who were loving the feeders, and the sheep and ponies in the next field. Loved the location down the private lane, the only traffic was the farmer and the only noise was the occasional cow mooing and the bells from the little nearby church. All the advantages of being rurally remote, but with the beaches and various places to visit just a short drive away. It was an absolutely perfect holiday and I’d recommend the Goslings to anyone! Thank you!!

This charming cottage is expertly ran by its very lovely hosts Sally and Charlie. We arrived to a wonderful cream tea treat.( lovely jam) thanks Sally. The cottage was comfortable, beds very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, super hot shower and fluffy towels.quaint, cozy yet big enough for 4 adults and two dogs. Great location, great outdoor space and within driving distance of Padstow, Torquay, Port Isaac, Cloverlly, Bude with some amazing cliff top walks.a lovely stay much enjoyed. The one down side was the internet.. very slow to load, however it didn’t spoil our holiday. Thanks again to our smashing hosts. Y

Visits from pheasants and squirrels also owners cat and dog. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you could possibly require. Fresh eggs and honey from their hives

We just had a week in this beautiful cottage. Sally and Charlie are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Delicious cream tea on arrival too! I can't rate this cottage highly enough. It is set down a private lane, so no traffic or light pollution. Just peace and tranquillity. Abundant logs and kindling for the whole week, as well as central heating, so it's a very comfortable place to stay. The beds are really comfy. The lounge has two huge sofas, and the kitchen has everything you need, dishwasher and washing machine/ dryer. It is beautifully decorated throughout, with a power shower and separate bath, with abundant hot water. Loved every minute of our stay, and definitely will be back! Bude is literally ten minutes drive away, with its beautiful beaches, restaurants and canal! Thank you Sally and Charlie! I can't recommend your place highly enough!

What a wonderful holiday cottage. Stayed with my Mother, teenage son and 6 year old niece - the cottage suites everyone. Spacious living room with WiFi that met the needs of 2 tech obsessed children. The kitchen is well stocked with all electrical appliances including washing machine and dishwasher. Bathroom with full sized bath, separate shower cubicle and very good quality towels. Double bedroom is a good size with a plug socket by the mirror (for those women who need a mirror to dry their hair!). Twin room is fine too. Nice enclosed garden with picnic table and views of the owner’s 2 horses and sheep. Cottage is not on a main road so no noise from traffic and safe if little ones escape! Perfect location to tour Devon. Would strongly recommend (neither the 12 week old puppy nor the cream tea on arrival has influenced my review but both were highlights of my stay).

We received such a warm welcome at 'Goslings' with amazing attention to detail.. The hosts had left delicious scones and even Easter eggs for the children. It was a home from home with everything you need for a fantastic holiday in this beautiful part of Devon. The beds were so comfortable and the cottage was so cosy. The children enjoyed watching the birds in the garden and were thrilled to see a woodpecker. W hope to come back soon. x

Our stay with our dog at The Goslings for 6 nights was very enjoyable and it was lovely to be welcomed with tea and scones.. The cottage is very comfortable with the addition of a log fire to use on cold nights. The owners of The Goslings are very helpful and the cottage is also well placed for visiting Cornwall and North Devon.

My wife and I have just spent Christmas at Gosling Cottage.. The quality of every aspect of the cottage was superb. From the interior decoration, the quality of the furniture and fittings etc. Sally and Charlie Kelly the owners, couldn't have been more hospitable, welcoming us when we arrived with a Devon cream tea and specialist chocolate and wine in the fridge. There were even treats for our dog!!!. All in all we had a great time in a wonderful country cottage. Can't wait to do it again

I felt confident that we were going to be well looked after when other reviews reported that they were greeted with a Devon cream tea with freshly baked scones on arrival.. Every detail had been thought of, from dishwasher tablets to board games. Is there any cling film? Yes! This felt more like staying in someone's home than in a holiday cottage. The bird feeders were replenished during our stay and we twice got to see a woodpecker on the feeders along with the more usual birds. The cottage was perfectly warm enough but we also made the most of the log burner; a lovely treat for us. A proper Devon cottage with a warm Devon welcome.

Sally and Chris were great hosts and made us very welcome and comfortable in their cottage.. Our dogs were very safe in the lovely enclosed rear garden. We said in the Visitors Book that, for us, the location, accommodation, comfort and amenities were just right. The area is very beautiful and the cottage is a great base to explore the countryside and the coast. If we ever got back to that area we would definitely consider staying at Goslings again.

What a wonderful cottage! Goslings was an absolutely wonderful find! Away from it all in a very quiet location, but not too far away from shops and beaches. We were met with a warm welcome by Sally who had also just taken the homemade scones out of the oven to go with the Devon Cream Tea she had left for us to enjoy. We always take our Patterdale Terrier with us on holiday so it was lovely to see that she had a welcome basket of treats, towels, food mat and bowls. Goslings was very comfortable and very well equipped. We didn't make use of our own private garden, but we did make use of the log burner! Made us feel very cosy indeed. Goslings is now on our list of places to revisit and would definitely use again when visiting North Devon. Upon departure we met Charlie, the other welcoming owner, and bought some of their own honey from their hives! Thank you again for our stay. Jacqui, Steve & Magik from Southampton.

We stayed here last month, and it was perfect. The accommodation was comfortable, charming and fully equipped with every appliance you could need. Sally and Charlie were very welcoming, firstly greeting us with a delicious cream tea and then inviting us onto their beautiful farm to meet their famous gosling as well as their countless other gorgeous animals. The location was perfect! From the cottage we went for a day trip to the sea at Bude and down to Plymouth then we spent another day on a country walk in Oakhampton. The local pub had great food, nice beers and friendly staff. Couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. We live in Australia but would definitely visit Goslings again.

I am not overstating it to say that our stay at Goslings has been perfect. Out of all the places we have stayed in the world I can honestly say that it is joint first (the other is a b&b in Inverness ). The attention to detail, the place itself and both Sally and her hubby make it an utterly wonderful place. Everything you need is right on hand, along with many things I wouldn’t have thought of but were fabulous. Cream tea on arrival, fresh out of the oven, bird feeders for you to watch all the different feathered friends and lovely surrounding walks.

The Goslings is well equipped and comfortable. The owners are friendly, helpful and bake great scones! It's about 10 miles ish from Bude which has a lovely dog friendly beach. Lots of great walks there. Lots to do in the area for all the family. We will definitely go back.

Sally and Charlie were very welcoming and provided more than expected in facilities and extras.. The devon cream tea was exceptional and the homemade scones truly the best Andy and I have ever eaten. Sally also baked lactose free scones and left a jug of lactose free milk in the fridge for my daughter which was a lovely surprise and my daughter really appreciated. There were even some treats and extras for the dog. We all had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The welcome cream tea provided by host Sally was exceptional even to the extent of providing Cheese scones for a non dairy person.. Loved the peace and quiet of Goslings and would reccomend it for a nice chilled out break. Perfect break for us. Must mention the beautiful cut flowers in rooms also the dog kit.Thankyou

Very comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage with a wood burner which made the cottage even more snug.. On arrival we were met with home made scones, jam and cream - delicious and the wood burner alight. Thank you Sally and Charlie. Tranquil location with bird song - in the evening the most amazing sight of thousands of starling murmuration. As we were unable to travel on the scheduled day due to severe weather conditions eventually travelling two days later the owners kindly offered to let us stay on for the extra days - sadly due to family commitments we were unable to accept their kind offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Goslings and would highly recommend. Noreen, John and Sonny (the dog).
