Area
Dollar is a small town in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It is one of the Hillfoots Villages, situated between the Ochil Hills. Dollar is now mainly residential; however, for a long time it was known for its industries. Attempts were made to mine lead and copper in Dollar Glen from the 18th century and possibly earlier. There are various sports facilities, including an 18-hole golf course (notable for its steep inclines and lack of bunkers), a tennis club, a squash club, a bowling club, and a cricket club.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Lovely homely lodge larger than expected in a fantastic quiet area with friendly neighbours and although we only met her once Jessie the house keeper was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately although the lodge was a good size and felt really homely the decor inside let it down dramatically. A few years ago it must have been fantastic but everything inside could do with upgrading. The bathroom could definitely do with being upgraded. Such a shame as everything else is lovely. The exterior is also in a bad decor state. The garden isn't really child or pet friendly as they aren't able to really use it as a garden. It's on a bank and the gas tank takes up a lot of the garden space. There is no flat area for them to run round in. We would stay again as the location is fantastic and the home from home feeling is lovely but just hope they manage to get that bit of tlc done to both inside and outside.

We spent our October holiday week here, and have to say it is the perfect place to escape to! No Covid worries about being round too many people, as safely enclosed little garden for our inquisitive sausage dog, and everything you could possibly need provided! Warm, spacious and in show house condition - with a better shower and more power points than we have at home! We spent the week walking the dog in several local places - Dunblane, Crieff and the RSPB centre at Loch Leven. TV and WiFi were a lovely addition to our stay. It’s unusual to find such a lovely place which accepts dogs, much appreciated!

Myself and a friend stayed at The Wee Lodge recently, with our two terriers. The lodge was warm and comfortable . Everything needed for a relaxing break from home. Great places to walk our dogs, who thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

This lodge has everything needed for a great home from home feeling. The beds are super comfortable, well equipped kitchen and speedy WiFi. Unlike most pet friendly accommodation we've stayed in, The Wee Lodge allows for two dogs, which is great as the area is fantastic for long leisurely walks and site seeing. We are already planning to re-visit in the near future.

We had a lovely week at the Wee Lodge with our 2 dogs. The lodge is immaculate and very comfortable. I thought the price was brilliant for what you got. The owners have thought of everything. The area is very peaceful and great walking and cycling country. If you want a week away from your hectic life I recommend a week here. We’ll be back

We stayed here with our 2 small dogs last year. It’s very quiet and peaceful and if you want to get away from the rat race for a while the lodge would be ideal. I was looking to book again this summer but it’s booked up. I’m not surprised as it was lovely. It’s got everything you need for a week away and is furnished to a very high standard.

We found the Wee Lodge met our needs, Jessie the property manager couldn't do enough for us and was very friendly and helpful.. Yet again we found the residents to be friendly having stayed last year in another Lodge. Decor is a bit basic but hey when you've got such lovely scenery outside why would you want anything but basic inside. But the property is very homely and comfortable. Excellent location with majority of tourist attractions within an hour's drive e.g. Loch Lomand, Wallace Monument etc. All in all an enjoyable week just wish it could start on a Saturday but to do that comes with a premium. Looking forward to going back later in the year.
