A delightful, pretty cottage, great location, clean & sympathetically decorated. Review below bemusing.

The cottage is in an enviable position, close to the pub and shop with good walks and beaches nearby. Parking is a bit awkward if you have a big car but manageable for most. Unfortunately the actual accommodation has been neglected since the pictures were taken and things are not really as they seem. The place seems only to be cleaned at waist height with scruffy floors and many resident spiders. The furniture inside and out is very worn and the beds are way beyond their sell by date- wee found the mattress toppers unsanitary and stained and had to launder ourselves.... The bathroom is new but only for those of a shorter disposition! Kitchen appliances, such as they are are also neglected and very worn- bring your own frying pan, in fact bring everything, as there is no welcome pack, not even a spare toilet roll. The "utility and downstairs loo" area is primitive to say the least. The garden could also do with some love- very overgrown, so much so that after rain you will get wet accessing the dog walking field behind- careful also of the steps here. So much could be great about this place with some effort, but we left with the feeling that this is a cash cow for the owner.

Well situated cottage for coastal walks in quiet village setting.. Nice local pub has good food, and there is a shop for essentials in the village. The cottage was lovely, spotlessly clean and well furnished. We would definitely stay here again. Great for the dogs too!

Brilliant cottage, fantastically equipped, great log burner.. Right on the SW Coast Path and only about 15 minutes walk from Slapton Sands - mile upon mile of dog-friendly beach. We even got a 10% refund as there was no fire in the living room - we have no recollection of mentioning it, but it paid for a few drinks in the pub, conveniently 20 yards up the road.

WOW! What an amazing cottage! I really can't express how beautiful and comfortable it is. If I could move in there tomorrow, I would! Amazing sea views from the bedrooms, living room and top of the garden. The amazing 'secret' garden (that's what it reminded me of with all his nooks and crannys!) was stunning with beautiful views from the top over the coast. I can't wait to go back in the summer and sit at the top of the garden all day and into the night! The cottage although old and historic is equally modern, light and airy. Lots of beaches to explore in the area and a local pub and post office/shop just a two minute walk from the front door. Everything was clean and had everything we needed for a week in early December. I really can't fault this place and can't wait to return!

Cottage was lovely and well furnished.. We jiggled the portable heaters a bit as no central heating but it was warm enough. Slept well and everything accessible locally including the beaches and walks.

Fantastic cottage - we really felt at home there, and it it very roomy.. The area is really beautiful as well, with stunning walks at the doorstep and so much to do and see . We'll definitely be back!!
