Garnedd Lwyd is perfectly located; walk to the beach (you are just a 10 minute stroll down to Llandanwg Beach and beach cafe) or drive a short distance for even more beaches, the splendid Castle and traditional shops of Harlech, great restaurants, Royal St David's Golf Club, the pretty village of Llanbedr and the breathtakingly beautiful Nantcol Valley.
Barmouth is also within driving distance (and well worth a visit!) as is the beautiful Llyn Peninsula and all that has to offer. This house is in an ideal location to discover all of Snowdonia (and even the Llyn if you want to go further afield) has to offer!

Area The pretty village of Llanfair has an impressive location, quietly nestling between the foothills of the Rhinog mountains and the stunning golden beach of Harlech, whilst also providing panoramic views over Shell Island and Cardigan Bay. Boasting its own mild climate due to its unusual positioning, and an exciting array of wildlife and birds including soaring buzzards, this traditional village is an ideal base for wonderful scenic walks in the surrounding countryside. The small town of Harlech, which is a World Heritage Site is only 1.4 miles away and is dominated by its majestic 13th Century castle. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities, including some good quality restaurants. Located within the Snowdonia National Park and on the beautiful Cardigan Bay, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.

The weather was great! It makes such a difference in Wales. Accommodation was wonderful and we were looked after very well by the local managers of the property. One of the only improvements that could be made are to the gateposts! They are far too narrow for todays larger cars. We were worried everytime we went in and out of the gate that we were going to scrape the car or worse.
Also, I don't really think that the beach is ten minutes walk away except of course if you are a mountain goat! That could be offputting for some people.
