Galowras Cottage is a barn conversion set on the owner's farm amongst 94 acres of beautiful wild flower pasture meadows and ancient woodlands, two miles form Mevagissey. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms which are a double and two twin rooms. There is also a ground floor bathroom, a first floor cloakroom, a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden with furniture and barbecue. Galworas Cottage is a very special cottage a short distance for a variety of attractions.

Area
The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September.

Cottage is beautiful, very comfortable spacious, bed was extremely comfortable, everything you needed.. The owners are lovely nothing too much trouble genuinely wanted you to enjoy your holiday , the dogs were also very welcoming. The holiday cottage was very spacious and with 4 large dogs we needed it! The cottage was very comfy and warm, with very friendly owners, free range eggs available on tap! the homemade scones on arrival were very lovely and very welcome after a long journey. Location is very remote and the dogs loved roaming all over the farmland, but beach and chip shop (fresh caught) are just a short drive away, and equally lovely.

Fantastic cottage with everything you could possibly need.. Lots of walks close by in a stunning location.hosts Lisa and john were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The dogs loved it and made some new friends with the residents!. The log burner was very welcome and made for cosy evenings when it went dark .all in all a fab holiday and we would love to go again

Lovely cottage and great hosts.. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The children enjoyed caring for the animals particularly the horses and dogs. It was a very chilled and laid back holiday in a beautiful location. Nothing was too much trouble which made you feel very welcome and relaxed. We would thoroughly recommend staying here particularly if you have dogs as it is very dog friendly.

We had a wonderful week, the cottage was perfect for dog lovers.. John and Lisa couldn't have been more welcoming and were so friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure we had the best time possible. Thanks to some great advice from Lisa we visited some fabulous places and had some wonderful walks around the farm. The cream tea on arrival with Jennifer's homemade scones was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back, it was a very special week.

We stayed for a week in June. We booked as it one of the few places that would let us bring 3 dogs. What a surprise, must the best self catering accommodation I have stayed in. Finding it is interesting, follow the instructions given and get used to Cornish lanes! It was that good, in the end we were looking for things that were missing and could not find a thing. Stay there, it is excellent!

This was an absolutely fabulous place to stay, out in the countryside but close to beaches and central for visiting other areas.. John and Lisa along with mum Jennifer were so welcoming and pleasant. We were very lucky indeed to be able to see the baby barn owls taken out of their box to be ringed weighed and checked for their health. The TV in the lounge gave us the opportunity to watch the owls in their nesting box and see them by camera on a daily basis. We were introduced to the animals they keep and the children were actively encouraged to participate in feeding the animals. The family dogs were also so friendly and adopted us easily. Wonderful place with lovely walks and many amenities.

Galowras is a beautiful cottage set within a working farm and with miles of countryside surrounding.. It is the perfect base in which to explore Cornwall and our son loved seeing the farm animals everyday. Although we didn’t take our dog Harry, Galowras is extremely dog friendly. The cottage was excellently appointed and in a lovely peaceful location.. John and Lisa Dunne made us feel extremely welcome. The cottage was very dog friendly and ideally situated for exploring that area of South Cornwall. Mevagissey was only a few minutes away which had some lovely places to eat - particularly recommend the Salamander and Number 5.

This is a fab cottage, with everything you could ever need and plenty of space for 6 adults and three dogs. The farm has 5 resident free range dogs ranging from Herbie the lurched to Reilly the corgi. Walking is, of course good, sometimes very challenging and muddy. The cottage, thankfully has an outside tap and shower attachment. Good dog friendly pubs in Mevagissey (The Fountain and The Ship were lovely) and Charlestown (Harbourside, with a great menu) All in all a fantastic week.

Cottage was lovely and cosy with everything you could need.. Owners were lovely as were their dogs . Fab location for families with a dog. You have nearly 100 acres of stunning hilly secluded private farmland to explore that leads to a public footpath that takes you on a very scenic walk to Portmellon. Our week flew by. The holiday was as expected from the description on the website and suited our needs exactly.. We planned a late (November) break with our three energetic dogs who love open land and beaches. We were met warmly by the owners and discovered we had the use of extensive fields, valleys and streams leading to public footpaths to take us on even further. Altogether a doggie heaven. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped and again, dog friendly. We would love to return to this wonderful cottage and ruggedly beautiful part of Cornwall.

We had the most fabulous time at Galowras cottage last week.. The stunning, secluded location meant that we could enjoy total peace and tranquillity with our three dogs free to roam while being located only a mile away from the lively seaside town of Mevagissey. We took our 12 year old daughter and her friend with us also and they had a brilliant time crabbing and doing seasidy type things throughout the week. Lisa and John were perfect hosts and we felt welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely and much welcome surprise also. We can't recommend this cottage highly enough. Especially if you have dogs and are wanting total relaxation and a peaceful week deep in the Cornish countryside.

A fantastic cottage in an amazing location.. Very comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. There were walks from the door, nesting barn owls linked up with a webcam to the tv and plenty of farm to explore. The kids loved tramping across the field to feed the pigs, collect the eggs and see the horses. The owners were very friendly and made us feel completely at home. Would recommend and hopefully we'll be returning!

The cottage was spotless, spacious, well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfy and cosy stay. John and Lisa gave us a warm welcome and our dog made himself at home very quickly and enjoyed exploring the area around the farm. We were after peace and quiet and great places to walk the dog and we got it in bucket loads. After a day of walking there was plenty of hot water and a log burner waiting for us. My family and friends have stayed at Galowras many times and every visit has been fantastic. Lisa John & Jennifer are lovely people who own this working farm and they make your stay 1st class and have always been the perfect hosts nothing is to much trouble. The views from the cottage are amazing and you are free to explore what you see. If you have dogs and love to walk this is a perfect place to start. The cottage has everything to make your stay fantastic wood burner comfy beds bath shower wifi about anything you could wish for in this beautiful cottage. So if you fancy a getaway from the normal pace of life then book this hidden gem in Cornwall and relax.

We were looking for somewhere close to Mevagissy so my wife could remember childhood family holidays. We needed a dog friendly place with three bedrooms. Wow! We found an absolute gem. Immaculate presentation on a working farm, cows, chickens, pigs and horses. We were able to wander over the whole of the farm, normally with one of their friendly dogs in tow so we didn't get lost. The only sounds were the owls, cows and pheasant. No light pollution so great view of the Milky Way. As for the cottage it is just perfect. Very hot water, powerful shower, comfy very clean beds, washing machine, dish washer, wood burner. Cutlery crockery for at least 20 people every utensil you can think of. We can not fault this place at all. It is found down a small single track country lane then a farm track, but, once their just wow. Lisa and family you are fantastic hosts. Thank you for one of the best most relaxing holidays we have ever had.
