Area
Located in the middle of the Holderness peninsular in East Yorkshire, the quaint rural village of Burton Pidsea is only six miles from the coast. There are a few pubs in town, as well as a general store and church. Around it are miles of smooth country roads ideal for cycling and ambling. Hedon, a historic district with modern conveniences close by, is a great place to visit. Hull, the 2017 City of Culture, is just 7 miles from Burton Pidsea and is home to the wildly successful Truck Theatre and the fantastic The Deep aquatic centre. Seeing Hull's old commercial heart is a fascinating experience that reveals the city's rich history. Large, sandy beaches stretch from Spurn Point to Bridlington, and the Flamborough Cliffs, Bempton Marshes, and Spurn Point RSPB Reserves are all fantastic spots for birdwatchers. The wonderful historic City of York is only a short drive away, and neither is the horse racing at Beverley nor the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Region
Combining the best of country and coast, the East Riding of Yorkshire consists mostly of majestic chalk landscapes across the Yorkshire Wolds and is particularly popular for a country escape with a wealth of wildlife. Towards the coast, the area is ripe w

We stayed in the Foxes Den at Lelley Barns and it was such beautiful accommodation. We felt relaxed and totally welcomed. A home made cake was left for our arrival and it was amazing. We visited a couple dog friendly beaches: Mappleton which was a more quaint but local beach and Fraisthorpe which was larger with an excellent tearoom called the cow shed. Both lovely beaches. We found a place called Dacre Lakeside Park, got crazy golf, football golf, all water sports with a yummy pizzeria and nice coffee. Nearby we went to Humber Street in Hull, which was a row of eateries, art shops and a bakery. Definitely recommend if you’re a foodie. But near to the barns at the local pub called the stags head inn, wow, food was just the best. Thursday night is steak night, you have to try this! Overall, we loved our stay and it was sad to leave, the time flew by. We enjoyed the hot tub each day, the master bedroom had a gorgeous bath. It was just lovely

We stayed at Lelley Barns over the easter break. They are set in a lovely quiet village, with peaceful surroundings. We stayed in Foxes Den, an absolutely beautiful barn. It is modern and yet still has a lovely cosy feel. It’s beautifully furnished, the main bedroom is so spacious and has a wonderful free standing bath in the en-suite. The landing is like a little balcony looking down to the ground floor and has 2 large statement lights that just look fab in the space, and lead your eyes to the huge window at the back of the barn! The open plan kitchen has everything you need and more for a self catered stay, a large dining table a small sofa and tv for entertaining in the kitchen. And a fab outside space with garden furniture and of course the private hot tub! There is a pub just a short walk or very short drive away. You are surrounded by fields and bridle paths if you like a walk or have dogs to take. You are just 20 mins away from the coast and also just as close to Hull city centre .. just over an hours drive to York .. If you are looking to explore the local area or the wider Yorkshire area, the barns are perfectly located for short trips or day trips further afield. But also perfect to just stay in the barns and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, lounge in the hot tub and just relax in luxury! The hosts are really easy and pleasant to communicate with and happy to help with anything you need. Loved our stay and will 100% look to return!

Just returned from our 2nd stay at Fox's Den. This time came with the whole family and also rented Owls and Pheasants also. It was just as beautiful as we remembered and spotlessly clean. It's stunning and no expense spared in the furnishings. We always go self catering and have stayed in many places over the years but fox's is most stunning we've stayed in. It has everything needed for a self catering stay with the added bonus of having our own hot tub. There is a local pub just a short walk down the road (bring a torch) which serves lovley food. Loads places locally to visit but we were happy to spend some days at Lelley Barns with my family in the other properties. Definitely going to book for next year and maybe March this year. Many thanks to your whole family for our lovley stay at Lelley Barns. Suzanne and family x
