Very remote but very lovely, quiet and picturesque the cottage is reached via a very long road alongside the loch so make sure you have everything you need before you arrive as a trip to the supplies is 11 miles, the cottage is cosy and very well stocked, thankyou for the fresh water and Scottish goodies

The expectations was just as we were told,,the area was magnificent beautiful scenery, everything lay on for us,it could,nt have been better but for the funny odour in the bathroom which did,nt seem to go away, the couple were nice and friendly, the only major problem was the condition of the roads which you had to travel on day after day deep pot holes ..

The given description of theCottage was spot-on.. The pictures looked very good, but the actual cottage met the expectations easily. The emails that were sent some times before the final payment and some time before the holiday itself with all the details that you might need were very helpful. I will certainly check here first for our next holiday.

Although I have replied no to re-booking this is not a reflection of our holiday, just that we like to go to different locations.. We would certainly consider this cottage in future.

There is no Wifi in the cottage and no mobile phone signal.. This could be a problem for many people but ideal if you are like me and enjoy getting away from it all.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in. We were made most welcome by the owners. The Cottage is located in a stunning setting with wonderful views and was so peaceful. The Cottage is very comfortable, well furnished and maintained to a very high standard. We particularly enjoyed being able to eat our meals on the veranda. We had a fantastic week staying in an excellent cottage owned and cared for by a warm, friendly family who obviously take great pride in their holiday cottage(s).

Liked the peace and quiet of the area around the cottage, the welcome starter pack in the cottage along with the friendly welcome from the owner when I arrived. It was lovely to know that if there was any problems or I had any questions where I could contact her. The area around the cottage had lots to do and also the information folder and basket of leaflets in the cottage is a great idea for people visiting the area and not sure of what to go and visit. The guest book for people to enter how they felt about the cottage and also giving other guests ideas of what to do while in the area.

Scotland was awesome, and we were blessed with mostly fantastic weather. We loved the remoteness of the cottage which was surrounded by stunning scenery. Lack of light pollution, so a wonderful star gazing opportunity.

Having just spent two weeks in this lovely cottage we have to say we were very sad to leave. It was clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The views from all the windows were lovely and the only sound we heard were the birds and the nearby waterfall. On a clear night, because there is no light pollution, the stars were amazing!! and on a rainy evening there was nothing more cozy than sitting by a log fire with a glass of whisky!! If there had to be a downside it was perhaps the location as the road leading to the property is a single track which is very potholed in parts and the nearest large shop was a Co-op at Lochgilphead about 11 miles away but it was open until 11.00 pm every night. but this was a small price to pay for the views and quiet. The hotel at Kilmartin approximately 8 miles a way had a nice bar and restaurant I'm sure that if you needed anything in an emergency the owners Mr & Mrs Glendinning would help, they were lovely couple and their 'welcome treats' were a nice touch. As the property has it's own water supply it meant that at times it could be slightly discoloured so we stocked up with bottled water to drink, cook and clean our teeth in but this is stated on the website so we were prepared. All in all we had a wonderful time and would deffinately stay here again.
