Great accommodation right in the centre of Rye, so you could park your car and forget about it for a few days, which was lovely.. Rye is a lovely little town with unusual shops and antiques to browse. Accommodation had all that you could ask for. If you like an old house with plenty of history then Flushing House is the one for you.

The management of the booking was very good and very easy.. Flushing House is excellent and right in the centre of activity in the old town. The information provided both with regard to the access and the house facilities is extremely helpful. The information about the local restaurants and shops is welcome as is the information about local attractions and transport. The house itself is an attraction and is very comfortable. We had a very happy holiday.

This is a charming, spacious, stylish, historical and well-furnished house.. We were much impressed by the kitchen and laundry facilities and the homey living room furniture. The kitchen equipment and amenities were more than adequate and exceeded our expectations. The dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer worked perfectly and are an asset. All entertainment devices in the living room worked well and enhanced our stay. Flushing House has a central location in the "citadel" of Rye, the most fashionable quarter of the town, immediately adjacent to Ypres Tower Castle, St. Anthony's Catholic church, St. Mary's Anglican church and the Town Hall. There are excellent tea houses, restaurants, pubs and quaint shops within a short walking distance and Jempson's Supermarket is also close by. Mr. and Mrs. Jones were congenial and helpful, immediately available by phone and e-mail.. We cannot recommend Flushing House and Rye highly enough to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable, cultured and comfortable stay in England.

Due to the age of the cottage the stairs took a bit of getting used tp but that was all part of its charm, the cottage and the town were delightful.. As good as it gets as long as you don't have mobility issues.

A lovely little place, good accommodation and so well placed right in the middle of the ancient streets of Rye. We loved our walks in the town and along the deserted beaches, it's also a useful base to visit NT properties. Even in the coldest weather imaginable we had wonderful holiday there.
