I had an excellent holiday in this very confortable flat.. The bedroom is very pleasant as well as the bathroom. Maybe, the bed sofa could be more confortable as it was a bit difficult to sleep on it, but on the whole the material is of very good quality. The flat is also well located, very close to the beach and bars. I recommend it!

Spacious flat near to beach and a short walk into town. Great potential to be a first rate holiday apartment but needs a really good clean. We had to wash everything before using. Cushion covers and curtains were stained. Between settee cushions was truly disgusting with bits of food etc, not sure it's ever had a clean. Dust, dirt and spiders webs behind bed and down side of bedroom drawer unit. Inside built in bedroom cupboard was mould and mildew. Placemat set on table was dirty with food remnants. Also kitchen or bathroom lights didn't work, wasn't bulb as neither light lit up. We reported this first night we were there but no reply or help. First time we used oven we were smoked out due to spillage left in bottom of oven, extra worrying as this did not trigger smoke alarm despite the thick smoke filling the kitchen. There is also a lack of things we would have expected, the main one being a wardrobe or somewhere to hang clothes. Until this flat is sorted there is much better available in the area I am sure.

The flat was clean and nice and well equiped. Shower was fine and easy to get in and out of . Three of us stayed two adults and one child , there was parking and was near shops , spa, and restaurants . Went into scarborough to sea life centre and local zoo, lots of shops and nice people, felt really safe and not expensive would use again. Owners helpful .

The perfect break for us and our little baby.. The location was spot on, a short walk to Bridlington centre. Handy local shops round the corner. Well decorated - lovely kitchen and shower. Very cosy. Could do with some instructions on how to use the heating as it dropped cold whilst we were there.

The flat was cleaned to a reasonable standard but it was let down by the shower and bathroom sink traps being totally blocked only took me 5 minutes to clean out.. Also luckily it was only me and my son staying as there was only 2 teaspoons 3 knifes in the cutlery drawer. Overall for the price, the flat is in a great location close to the sea and shops and I would definitely stay again.

The flat wasnt cleaned properly and the fire doors made it difficult to carry food through to the lounge

Unfortunatly, after a 2.. 5 hour journey our allocated off street parking was taken up by other guests in the top two flats above. This happened on our last booking last year for a flat in the same building however, I agreed to use a car parking permit on that occaision as a family in another flat had extended their holiday. On this occaision rang the owner to point out that our off street parking was occupied, and was told to use the parking permit provided inside the flat. Having pointed out that we only wanted what we had booked and paid for, we were told that the space would be available the next day, In the meantime we had to park 4 streets away in order to find a parking space. On another point, there was no wardrobe in the flat so, we had to hang some of our clothes on the clothes hooks on the back of the bedroom door. On a positive note overall, we enjoyed the holiday and the facilities the flat offered. If the parking issue can be resolved we would stay again.

Well loved it.. I couldn't believe how nice the apartment was for such a good price. It was the cleanest apartment we've ever stayed in and so close to the beach. We will definitely be going back.

We had a super week in Flat 1.. Was a great base for my husband and I and our 3 month old baby. The rooms are a good size and we felt really comfortable. The only comment I have it that it could of been cleaner. Under the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned, around the outside of the shower was dusty, both the kitchen and bathroom taps hadn’t been wiped and the kitchen drainer had been wiped, for me that’s really basic stuff. Also a washing machine would of been handy. Other than that it was great and I would definitely recommend it.

There is three flats for rent but only parking for two cars which is a pain

We booked this for 7 nights but only stayed for 1.. We had to book alternative accommodation! This property is dirty, the windows look like they have never been cleaned, there are cigarette butts piled up outside the door, the bed is so low that I was unable to sleep on it, went to get the spare quilt but this had stains on it! The shower had not been cleaned and the water doesn't go down because the plug hole must be blocked! There are several other things but too much to mention. Oh and if you feel the cold, wrap up warm as the heating thermostat is broken so no heating!!! If you're looking for a base to stay with minimal comfort then I'd recommend booking!

Stayed here last year, was great but this year was not to the same standard, flat was dirty, we had a lot of water running into the kitchen through the ceiling from the room above, I went to the flat above to let them know, also reported next morning as soon as I could as it happened at 11:00pm, I was not informed if it was repaired, my Grandson has Autism So his anxiety was quite high rest of our stay, all though no one could have known it would happen, I feel we can’t stay again but would stay at another property of Sykes..

Good location, local news agents , and two local shops, over the road from spa theatre and beach.well decorated good quality furnishings, clean beds and bedding. Downside for my disabled partner was shower door, it didn't open far enough . Then from kitchen to lounge dining area you have to go through two fire doors , one you push open the other you pull to open... Not easy trying to do this with one hand whilst trying to carry food or beverages.also it states selection of DVD's and books, there were none only 5 editions of knitting magazines. These are only observations and not criticisms, a young family or couple would have a lovely time there.

We were very disappointed with this flat and feel that it was not cleaned or checked between lets.. There were not enough knives and small plates for four persons when we contacted the owner his answer was the previous occupiers must have stolen them sorry for the inconvenience no offer to replace them. The window sills in all the room were full of dust and dead flies, the red sofa was full of food crumbs. The bath room had a mouldy smell which we tracked down to the shower trap which was black with mould and clogged up with hair. There were muddy footprint in the shower and the sink had not been cleaned, such a shame as it was a lovely bathroom. The worse thing was not being able the close the door as it did not fit. The kitchen had a fire exit into the back yard but the gate had a pad lock and no key was supplied. The flat had no information book which we thought was obligatory in Sykes Cottages. We would have left but had friends joining us for a few day so had no choice but to stay and clean not something that I expected to do after many years renting a cottage from Sykes Cottages. If it had been perfect would still not return because of the run down area and the numerous sea gull waking us at 4am in the morning, something that the owners can do nothing about.

Location good, local shops, launderette , theatre and beach literally on your doorstep.. Beds and bedding clean. Downside you don't state that there are two fire doors , one from lounge into a passageway then the other leading into the kitchen, neither can be kept open, this was so frustrating as you had to carry food and beverages through both doors from kitchen to dining table in the lounge.(maybe table would be better in Kitchen) The other thing you state is a selection of videos and books available this was not true only five editions of knitting weekly, not everyone's liking!, I rang your officce as I was worried in case you thought we had taken them. This is only observation and not criticism. However we had a lovely holiday.

The flat was very close to the promenade.. We struggled entering the property as the step was quite high. The landlord was very helpful with a few issues we had. We had a lovely holiday and hopefully will go next year
