This was the first time we had used Sykes Holiday Cottages, and will not be the last! Firs Lodge was excellent, position, facilities the only slight problem was the hand sanitiser disposal unit by the entrance door was not working. Fortunately we had our own.
We have potential friends coming round tonight for a drink and debrief, we will be recommending Firs Lodge.
We would suggest providing a second shower in the family bathroom. For us two it was fine but with a group of 4 that could prove difficult using just one shower unit.
We were worried about this holiday due to outside circumstances but it exceeded expectations in every respect.. Firstly, we have usually stayed in a different lodge, which is now no longer available, so we were a little apprehensive as to whether this one would be as good. Secondly, the whole issue with lockdown meant that we wondered how different things would feel in general. We arrived feeling a little nervous.
We needn't have worried. The lodge wasn't just as good - it was better. So much so, that if we had the chance to go back to the original, we wouldn't. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and well-stocked. Checking in was easy and convenient and the area was just as lovely as ever. Despite circumstances, things still felt relaxed and pleasant.

Me & my partner stayed in Firs lodge for a week and had a such an amazing time.. The location was beautiful and relaxing. The cabin has been made to a high standard and had all the equipment we needed.
Would highly recommend !
Firs Lodge is amazing, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for a great holiday.. The location is perfect for getting around, sight seeing and walking etc, with the longest drive being
St Davids taking around 45 minutes. The lodge is set in a beautiful location, its secluded, very peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic for relaxing after walking around the coast. Narberth was a lovely little town, with shops, butchers, supermarket pubs etc.
We would highly recommend this lodge to family and friends.
Excellent location to drive to any point in Pembrokeshire in under an hour.. Plenty of shops and places to eat in nearby Narberth and Tenby. Found a few tourist attractions that had seasonal open times (April-Sept) such as boat trips to Skomer island and Manorbier Castle but still plenty too do and much quieter on the roads in early March. Firs lodge had everything we needed and was perfect for relaxing after long days walking around the coast. Already thinking about coming back again.
Everything was fantastic.. Could have stayed there forever. Total relaxation. Had everything you needed. Hot tub was absolutely lush. Would not hesitate to come back. It was our 1st hot tub lodge experience and i cant imagine anywhere else living up to this. This is the place to stay if you want peace and relaxation.
Second visit so we knew what to expect.. Already booked for next year
We absolutely loved our stay in Firs Lodge.. It was peaceful, high quality and had everything you could need within the lodge. It’s at the top of a hill so please be aware if you’re not mobile but apart from that, there’s no reason to not book into this lodge for your holiday. It’s perfect!
It was a wonderful lodge - quiet, comfortable, clean, high-spec'd and very relaxing.. It is amazing the difference that wonderful accommodation makes to the enjoyment of a holiday....
Stunning lodge in beautiful surroundings.. What's not to like!
One of the best places we have stayed, hence why we have now stayed here twice! Quiet, comfortable with everything you could want. Brilliant location for exploring.
Arriving at the resort after a 6 hr drive was pretty straight forward however, please make sure you pick up your key from the main golf club reception before driving to the barrier that is correct to the post code given.. The reception at the golf club was excellent. The gentlemen who served us was very polite and pointed out that someone will be up soon to make sure everything was OK.
Which we all felt was a very nice touch.
The Lodge (Firs) was excellent, we could not fault it even the hot tub was checked every morning to make sure it was OK to use.
The resort was very peaceful and tranquil in fact the only noise was when we fed the ducks in the morning that live on the resorts lake.
Narberth is a short but rather hilly walk but it is worth the exercise as there are some nice coffee and cake shops in there along with restaurants for a lunchtime or evening meal.
Location wise was good the longest drive we did was to St Davids around 45 min. Other towns like Tenby and Saundersfoot were both under the 25 minute mark.
We did some nice walks in Lawrenny, Angle and the Lilly pond lakes at Bosherston are a most.
However the highlight of our stay was the coasteering at Tenby, great fun.
All in all we had a fantastic break will hopefully go back sometime soon.
Firs Lodge is a wonderful retreat, just what we needed to recharge.. Hardly a sound to disturb the peace and plenty of wildlife to observe and enjoy. This was our second visit and we hope to be back for more soon. Thank you.
This was a lovely and tranquil place to stay, so relaxing and had everything you could have asked for and more..
Absolutely amazing, total privacy, peacefully quiet to enjoy the views and surroundings
Lovely log cabin, great staff at Heron's Brook - thoroughly enjoyed
Firs Lodge was amazing, immaculately clean and fitted to an extremely high level.. We will be returning
We wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing and this was the ideal location.. The interior was high quality with all decor to a high standard. The staff at the location were super friendly. Couldn’t fault it at all. We had a lovely walk into the town centre and had a very enjoyable day out in Tenby even though ot rained somewhat and then had a bike ride along the Brunel trek. Great fun.
Excellent repeat visit to Heronsbrook great relaxing holiday will book again
.... Excellent repeat visit to Heronsbrook great relaxing holiday will book again
Staff at Heronsbrook very helpful and The Firs Lodge above expectations
Amazing property in a perfect location.. Property is very well kept and was lovely and clean. Would definitely book again and recommend.
A truly wonderful lodge and location.. Very high quality equipment and facilities, comfortable and quiet. And the hot tub was an added bonus.
Firs Lodge is a beautiful cottage set near the top of a hill.. The views over the open countryside are fantastic, and we were lucky enough that weather conditions allowed us to enjoy watching the sunset most evenings. Clean and well-equipped inside with lots of little extras that made our holiday special. There is a spare HDMI next to the DVD player (we connected a NOW TV box) and WIFI was surprisingly good. Fantastic place to relax and enjoy life, especially from the comfort of the hot-tub!
A complete escape and luxury lodge which was well equipped with comfortable furnishings. A bonus was the hot tub at the end of the day. The golf course is on site and my husband enjoyed his rounds of golf. Narberth town has all the shops and restaurants you need, and Tenby and Saundersfoot are not far away. Would love to go back.
We loved the area, there were beautiful beaches close by and lots for the children to do. The accommodation was excellent and the hot tub was a luxury which made our holiday at the end of each day.
A fantastic location and so relaxing - would highly recommend and have already booked again for September!
We loved everything about Firs Lodge, especially the hot tub and the beautiful quiet location.
Firs Lodge is an amazing, well equipped log cabin with plenty of extras and hot tub was a top off. The location is good with everything you need in a close by village.
This was in a wonderfully peaceful setting, secluded and quiet and it felt serene. The furnishings and equipment provided were all very high quality. A stunning property to which we will definitely return.
Everything was of a very high standard. The area was excellent for trips all around Pembrokeshire.
A lovely, comfortable lodge and hot tub to come home to after a day out. We enjoyed Narberth shops and restaurants. Having lived in this area in Trefgarne, my wife enjoyed showing us the lovely beaches and surrounding area. Pembrokeshire is beautiful and we just ran out of time; we will hopefully come again soon.
Firs Lodge was superb in a beautiful, peaceful location and each lodge was well spaced out giving lots of privacy.
Everything and more was catered for; from the kitchen equipment to the hot tub, the outside furniture to the views across the fields and mountains. There was literature on where to eat, places to go and even binoculars to look at the wildlife.
Quality accommodation in a good location with friendly hosts.
Liked all of it! A fantastic couple of days away, will definitely be returning.
Firs Lodge is in a lovely quiet and secluded spot with a great view. Having good weather also means you can take advantage of sun bathing on the decking too. The facilities are great in the lodge.
The cottage was lovely and a great place to return to after exploring Pembrokeshire.
The Lodge was absolutely beautiful. The owners have put in a lot of time and effort to make it a home from home. The hot tub was amazing to come back to and relax in after walking around the villages. The staff at Herons Brook resort were very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. The resort was in a great location to visit the lovely villages that were just short drives away. Would definitely love to stay here again.
An amazing place to stay which far exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend!
The whole experience was amazing, we loved Firs Lodge and were sad to leave!
Felt like a home-from-home, beautifully furnished. It had everything and more!
A very clean quality lodge with hot tub countryside surroundings. Within walking distance to the friendly town of Narberth.
Wow. We spent a week at The Firs for our anniversary.
An amazing lodge with a kitchen better equipped than the one I have at home!
So many things provided in the cupboards, takeaway menus to, things to do leaflets. Plus games and some books provided.
Loved every minute of our stay and plenty of things to see and do locally and a little further afield.
Truly a beautiful location with amazing views and birds of prey flying overhead while in the hot-tub.
I felt like I had come home the moment I walked through the door and was so sad to leave. We want to come back for the same week next year but, it's booked already and I'm heartbroken.
A very relaxing setting, the property had everything we could need, we hardly left all week!
Firs Lodge was a superb cottage and suited all my families requirements during our stay. It was really quiet and just what we were after. It was great to explore Pembrokeshire and know we were going back to the lodge and able to unwind with a bottle of wine and relaxation in the Hot tub.
Just got back from this lodge, had a great week. Situated perfectly for short drives to the likes Narberth, Tenby, Saundersfoot ( lovely places) Oakwood theme park. Biggest car boot l've seen in Carew airfield, less than 15min drive (sundays).Plenty of castles to see, not far from lovely beaches and beautiful countryside. The lodge itself, couldn't fault inside or out, Quiet, peaceful and great views. Anyone wanting to stay in Pembrokeshire this is the place 10/10
Cannot fault the property or location, the weather was perfect too. It has spoilt us for our next holiday elsewhere!
The cottage and facilities were excellent. It was in a good position for visiting lots of places of interest and coastal walks. Lovely to return to the peace and quiet of Firs Lodge.
The lodge was in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was spotlessly clean. There was everything you could need and more! The kitchen was packed with absolutely everything you could possibly want, and all of a very high standard. Bedding and towels were high quality. The hot tub was just fantastic, and it was great to know that it was checked every morning. The caretakers were so helpful. Narberth is a lovely little town, and the area is fantastic.
What a fantastic place to stay! It started well with a warm welcome from 'hosts' at the golf course and got better when we saw the property! Tucked away in a beautiful valley just outside Narbeth, Firs Lodge proved the perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the world. Finished to a high standard inside and with the really fun addition of the hot tub, we were delighted with the accommodation. The Wifi even kept my teenagers quiet (when necessary). Narbeth itself is a great little town with a decent selection of restaurants, pubs and shops and Tenby is only a short trip away with its amazing beeches. Great value and highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely Lodge. Equipped to a high standard, tranquil surroundings, but also near to the beautiful village of Narberth where there are many good restaurants to be found. Would recommend this Lodge.
This was one of the comfiest, best equipped cottages we have ever stayed in. We will be back!
The property was really impressive, as were the grounds and facilities. The ladies were particularly fond of the hot-tub, an excellent addition. Golf on site was superb, just right for a couple of hours pleasure for the man of the house.
It was absolutely beautiful, fantastic lodge, fantastic setting, so peaceful, quiet and private. Loved it, and will be going back again!
Really high standard of accommodation in beautiful surroundings.
Great cabin, well furnished, and a great hot tub!
The holiday was to celebrate my retirement and we wanted somewhere special. We were never found wanting and the Firs was beyond our expectations. Immaculate and the 'Tub' was lovely at the end of the day. What more could you wish for.
We will be coming back and would highly recommend it. Thank you
We went to Firs lodge for a week in February. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and the lodge was perfect. Everything was of a very high standard - kitchens and bathrooms fitted to a very high speck. lots of lovely little extras we didn't expect but were delightful to have. The lodge was set in a lovely area just 10 minutes walk from Narbeth which is a lovely village with nice shops and pubs.
We didn't use golf facilities but did try the fishing - didn't have much luck but we were amateurs!
Only 20 minutes or so from the coast.
Would 100% recommend to anyone - family, couples etc
The lodge is perfectly located just outside the village of Narbeth. The hot tub in the patio area was a fun addition to the property and was maintained daily by the site manager.
