House was situated around everywhere we wanted to go.. Close to beach 15 minutes got you there walking. Pub and lovely restaurant just down the lane where house was situated. Conar pass and Dingle only minutes away. And our dog bailey enjoyed it as well . Closed in yard at back was great for him. Peace and quiet was lovely. House was lovely and cosy especially when u had a turf fire lighting. Would highly recommend this house. We will go back again maybe next year.

The Finn house was fantastic.. The home was beyond any expectation you could ever imagine. You have the beautiful mountains behind you, which we climbed to the top of and the 12 mile beach in front of the house which we walked to and enjoyed every day. The home was so private I thought our family might be the only one staying in the village. But just walk down your own private road and Tomasins 5 star pub and restaurant was right there. The home was excellent I couldn’t believe every one of the 4 bedrooms had their own bathroom. Off the kitchen was a beautiful sunroom where we enjoyed our full Irish breakfast every day. Off the sunroom was a beautiful outdoor area for outdoor dining or sunbathing or just having conversations with friends and family while looking up at the mountains beyond. The heating system was awesome but to top it off if you wanted to really relax and get in the mood you could just light a peat fire in their fireplace and feel the incredible history of Stradbally village come to life. In my opinion you wont find a better place to stay in Ireland! I’m from Boston but I’ll be back every year to stay at the Finn house to rekindle our love for the Stradbally/ Castlegregory area on the wild Kerry coast.

Great location.. Gorgeous views all around. House very good except no free view and dvd didn’t work in latter part of the week. Beaches spectacular and a fantastic pub and restaurant/takeaway down the lane. Really worth a visit.

As usual, Finn House was an amazing place to get away and relax.. The house is immaculately kept. The owners are friendly and easy to communicate with. It's a perfect jaunt to the beach. The perfect place to get away from it all. (If you need wifi you'll have to find another place to stay.) This is definitely a place to unplug.

Excellent location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Delightful house, light pouring in. Comfortable, relaxing, spacious. A bird lovers paradise....swallows nesting in the shed. Saw a variety of garden birds. Lots birdlife on nearby Lough Gill. Loved the underfloor heating and the very welcome hamper on arrival.

A lovely four night stay and the cottage was so much better than we expected from the photos.. The cottage is in a really quiet location and was really spacious and even with the terrible weather meant that we had plenty of space with 4 adults and 2 children. Most of the bedrooms are ensuite and there is a family bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need and the utility room with a washer and a dryer were really helpful to have. The only things I would say is that it could do with wifi and we would have been happy to pay extra for this so is something for the owner to think about. Also some of the soft furnishings and bedding upstairs could do with an update as they are a bit old fashioned but saying that everything was clean and tidy so not a big issue and we were out a lot exploring the peninsular. The cottage is really quiet and has a fantastic view of the hills behind and also the sea at the front. There is a mezzanine level with a sofa which is great for relaxing on and reading. Maharanees Beach is beautiful and we enjoyed exploring Connor Pass, Dingle, Fahan Beehive huts and the basket Islands visitor centre. The Peninsular is stunning even in bad weather. Castlgregory had some good pubs and shops for essentials. We would love to go back in the summer months when we could take advantage of the great water sports in the area. We would definitely book the cottage again.

The Finn House was just fantastic - there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't provided.. From the welcome basket to the information provided, the house was so well equipped. More special though, was it was warm and welcoming, perfect for our family with plenty of room to relax and take in the beautiful views. Wish we had more time to just linger for a few more days and explore the area. We enjoyed the evenings my the turf fire after a full day of exploring Ireland. I hope one day we can return.

We were a family group, comprising 4 adults and 2 teenagers. I can honestly say we liked absolutely everything about this house. It was so comfortable and the owner had thought of everything. It was also warm and welcoming and well equipped. It was a pleasure to stay here and I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody with no reservations.

Delighted with this super house in lovely location. Very clean, modern and comfortable, and well designed so that even a party of 8 and one dog were not cramped or on top of each other. Plenty of kitchen supplies and crockery for 8, and the welcome pack was a very nice touch. Owner was very helpful with information on the appliances and general info on the area and things to do. Only very small suggestions to make - perhaps wifi if available in the area, even at an extra charge? Also, a vacuum cleaner to help with keeping the house clean would be great for guests. Cannot fault the property overall and would definitely recommend to anyone, particularly those with kids/larger family groups. Would stay there again.

A large, bright, spacious house which was equipped beyond necessary and a short walk from the beach or to the hills. The owners could not have been more helpful and were naturally friendly. It was very good value.

We found Finn House to be very warm with underfloor heating and an open fire. It contained big bedrooms, all of which had a bathroom/shower. The location was lovely being approximately one mile walk to a superb beach and the owners were welcoming.

Beautiful and cosy house in an excellent location with superb views of the sea. Easy walk to the beach and pub. The fire was lit when we arrived and it was easy to keep burning, the welcome pack was very thoughtful. There was nothing missing in terms of the comfort of this well designed house.

August 2014
We were a party of 7 (two couples, three children) and this property was perfect for us. There are two double bedrooms, and each bedroom had its own en suite. The property was set back from the road so it was very private, quiet and safe. It had magnificent views of both the sea and the mountains. The garden was beautifully maintained and the children loved playing in it. It was only a 20-30 minute walk to the closest beach.

The Finn House was a delight to all of us. It was well maintained inside and out, and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home the minute we opened the door, and the surrounding area was easily accessible. The home was everything that we hoped it would be. The scenery was breathtaking, and the experience was a once in a lifetime stay in the South West of Ireland. If we ever come this way again, this will be the place where we stay! We give it a five star recommendation.

We loved the fact that the house supplied everything to make you feel at home. The surroundings and views were amazing from the house. Everything ran smoothly from getting on the ferry, to finding the house, to coming home! Would definitely go again, and will recommend to family and friends!

August 2013
It was the best equipped holiday house we have ever been in, down to the last detail and even small details. There was plenty of space for a family of all ages, from grandparents to grandchildren. One could find their own quiet corner without feeling cut off from everybody else.

Fantastic property in a secluded position and very close to a number of beaches. The Castlegregory area is tranquil and relaxing. If you are looking for a chill out break I can't think of anywhere better to spend it.

We had a fantastic week in the house at Easter 2013. The owners of the house were there to greet us when we arrived and gave a quick tour of the house and demo of the various functions (heating systems etc). The house itself is fantastic and has been very well done out, and the location is really beautiful. The pictures on the website don't do the place justice at all! We'll definitely be back for sure!
